a slow burn true crime tale. the movie feels like an anxiety attack that stretches on for two hours. joel and sean are powerhouses. the tension between them is so unsettling as they become more intimate.
"you remind me of an amputee" line was a punch to the gut.
“you’re drifting off to a great mistake” isabel comes into a great fortune and denies three suitors for a life of agency only to be trapped into an abusive relationship by an evil john malkovich. the film can be drawn out at times, still a compelling tragedy with a great cast
