I thought someone had spoiled this for me, but it turned out they didn't. And even if they had, it wouldn't matter, because the movie stands on its own.

Time loops are one of my favorite time travel tropes, and Source Code offers a unique take. It's like a locked room mystery in hell. I'm still trying to decide if it all makes sense, but it definitely got me thinking.

Jake Gyllenhaal sells the weirdness, and the rest of the cast make it feel solid. They didn't go overboard with the special effects, which is appreciated, but everything that's there holds up.

If you enjoy time travel sci-fi, Source Code is worth your ti— worth your attention.
