Re-watching post Andor, I found this film quite a bit more interesting. Cassian's character is significantly more complex than I initially thought, his interactions with the crew are quite fun, and the immersion between watching Andor and this was seamless. To some disney slop, to others a great narrative piece climaxing the unknown but crucial plot of Cassian.

Side note - I'd love to see the next series or feature film be about the deep past. This timeline is a dead cow after Andor.

Beautifully shot by the legend Freddie Francis, the Straight Story is easily my favorite of David Lynch. Seeing it in 35mm was a once in a lifetime opportunity, so glad I didn’t miss it. The journey of one man and his lawnmower is one I won’t forget.
