Dune Part 2, where to start? It’s incredible. I’ve seen many movies where the word “epic” is thrown around. In the case of Dune Part 2 the word takes on a new meaning. Everything about this movie is on another level. I’m genuinely shocked at the scope of what I watched. Nothing about feels like it’s trying to replicate another movie, it wholly feels unique in a way I’m not sure I’ve ever experienced. If a movie has earned the right to be seen in IMAX it’s this one. Every frame feels like it’s the money shot. Every frame genuinely feels like painting. Every performance is vulnerable to a point where I no longer see the actors, I see the characters that they’re portraying. This is especially incredible given how big these actors are. The music again both paints the world of Arrakis and gives characters their own leitmotifs. Honestly I’m just blown away. No other way to put it. I’m so glad I stayed away from the trailers. Do yourself a favor and see Dune Part 2 ASAP.
