David James Henry’s review published on Letterboxd:
This film actually gets into the juicy goodness of Dune that was desperately missing from the first entry. I love how Denis chose to cut out elements of the plot, but instead of just ignoring them, he sprinkled them into the dialogue or background. It's not just for the diehard fans to see, but it fleshes out the characters so well and the world expands as we watch it.
The score is my favorite element here, even when we stand in triumph, the music is mournful. It keeps us in an emotionally complicated relationship with the plot and its characters and I loved that so much.
