I Got Puked On at "The People's Joker" And All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt

(actually the t-shirt is pretty nice, as were the Vidiots staff who attended to us after the incident)

"The People's Joker is a funny, absurd, riotously creative, and moving film about a trans woman realizing and exploring her gender identity. Openly re-interpreting and riffing on the Batman universe, the film is a great example of queer people taking inspiration from and creating their own art inspired by a mainstream pop culture that ignores them and is often actively hostile to them.

A well-crafted Home Alone predecessor that starts with a light tone and becomes genuinely darker and nightmarish. Thomas the protagonist is a whiz with computers and electronics, but he still comes across as a child. Unlike Home Alone, it's not one long slapstick cartoon. It's stylized for sure, and Thomas has a lot at his disposal, but his attempts to defeat the intruder don't always work, and moment to moment it genuinely has a feeling of menace and peril. And…
