incredible lead performance, gorgeous cinematography and set design, an important story told tenderly and powerfully. 

HATED the time jumps though, especially the last one… what’s this cliché stock footage?! truly unnecessary

was this a good representation of how s/m relationships should be and of how consent and safe words should be navigated? absolutely not! 
was i thoroughly engaged, entertained, and do i appreciate the focus on middle-aged women‘s sexuality and repressed kinkiness? definitely!
