i mean, i really love the idea of people trying to do cinematic things with video games (as a person who plays video games and sometimes watches films), but this is a bit more along the lines of a comedically edited let's play video on youtube than something you might expect to see winning film festival awards and stuff. i'm more fascinated by the possibilities than what's actually done here, if i'm honest. i'd recommend playing the game yourself for 90 minutes and/or watching the northman as alternatives.

From the very first scene, where an old man finds a bubbling pool of white goo, exclaims "What the hell is this!" and immediately scoops some into his mouth, this movie is completely fucking bonkers.
