This movie is a weird one. Reading the short story then watching this and the Nicholas Cage adaptation back to back was interesting.
I think the Cage adaptation is a better 1 to 1 adaptation because it is more polished and true to the story. Also having the POV be at the Gardner's farm keeps the horror much more present.
But despite the unpolished nature of it, and places where the low budget would stick out like a sore thumb…
