The use of sound to accompany the pacing is excellent, so is the pacing itself. The ending got me very emotional. However, as Kevin said, maybe it could have used a better balance between a pacing that conveys the stress and intensity and the emotions of this moment, the first SNL, which you only really get at the end.

Exactly the type of film I adore, not one single boring moment. The dedication to La Jetée in the end made so much sense.
So grateful to have seen it on the big screen and in good company with a wonderful and very interesting presentation by Jonathan Pouthier.

Not sure how I feel about this one.
I have rarely seen a film so imbued with nostalgia. A nostalgia of times of living in a bubble shielded from the dictatorship. 

You get glimpses of the dictatorship, but mainly the sense that it is a historical retelling through an extremely personal lens, instead of a political film (but those two can be interestingly linked to each other - I would even say at times the personal is what drives political films, but here it one might be overpowering the other) ) The film cherishes those early moments, all told through at times cliche-d, yet beautiful scenes (in the way they are shot) of the 70s while reminding the viewer of the dictatorship ever so lightly.

This contrasts enormously with the pathos and misery (albeit most likely very realistic) of the other portion. 
You get the sense that those early days are deified, but it is unclear whether it is the characters or the film itself that does this 
I’m not the only to say this at all, but the personal definitely overtakes the politics aim of this movie (which is fair)!
I will say, Fernanda Torres delivers a wonderful et performance as the matriarch that had to keep and as many of the films I have seen recently, if is beautifully shot.
