I absolutely hated the first 20 minutes of this movie. The rest of it was a massive improvement to what the MCU has been dishing out lately. Mixed bag but solid compared to what I expected.

I just heard about this movie for the first time this week. I also found out it was not only the UK’s highest grossing movie of all time, but also nominated for Best Picture alongside Titanic, Good Will Hunting, LA Confidential and As Good as it Gets??

It’s also way ahead of its time. I would say it deserves more attention, but it clearly already got it. Surprised it doesn’t have a bigger cult following honestly.

Ok yes, the kid is practically the spawn of satan. But, if you walk in on your kid jerkin it and you make prolonged eye instead of immediately closing the door, there’s blame on both sides.

One of my new favorite scenes in movie history is Tim Blake Nelson, Paul Giamatti and Johnny Depp sitting in a circle talking about the many meanings of ‘fuhgettaboutit’.
