“lead them to paradise”
second viewing in imax, those nearly 3 hours flew by so quickly and there’s just so much to love here. the visuals? breathtaking! the score? phenomenal! the sound? ready to ascend! everyone’s performances were just incredible that i can’t decide which one was my favorite. timothee became a completely, different character (that one specific shot after he [***** *** ***** ** ****…) YEEAH but i felt like i had knots in my stomach, zendaya genuinely is the beating heart of this film, rebecca… that’s reverend MOTHER really, austin was NOT PLAYING AROUND but my god that man is a menace, javier brought such a grounded yet light energy among all the pomp and circumstance of the movie. florence and charlotte despite the limited screen time they had, they are influential in of understanding the control that the bene gesserit have in this world.
i noticed it on sunday during my first watch but THE PAULCHANI PARALLEL?!?! i’m a mess, even a guy behind me was blushing and giggling like a school girl in his seat (he’s just like me fr). thinking about the scene were paul and chani sandwalk together across the dunes; their little moments were everything and the “i will love you as long as i breathe” 🥲
i will love this movie for as long as i breathe.
