i was a victim of sexual assault when I was 7-8 years old. although my trauma isn’t the same as Ash, i still resonated with his character. being a victim of both rape and sexual assault myself, as well as what seemed to be endless bullying for my sexual preference, i could see myself in his shoes, and seeing his story throughout the series opened all of the scars back open for me and caused me to come to with my trauma. this anime broke me and touched me in so many ways :D
