This is a brilliant movie. I also now love blues music, thank you to this film. I think this movie is flawless apart from the mid of the film where it got a but slow. The character stories, dynamics were done really well. Definitely worth a rewatch
]]>Evil did die tonight, but so did a good story. WHAT A SHITSHOW. Get Corey tf out of a Halloween movie. Character started off as interesting and the first act was interesting but then it became shite. IT'S A MICHEAL MYERS MOVIE, NOT A COREY MOVIE. Allyson was used as plot device instead of being somewhat useful in the 2nd movie of this trilogy. LAURIE AND MICHEAL were not done right. IT'S A MYERS MOVIE, GIVE HIM ALL THE SCREENTIME POSSIBLE, BUT NO, THEY GOTTA START A WEIRD ROMANTIC THING AND PUT COREY THERE. Also, how the fuck did Corey beat up Micheal and get his mask from him. IT'S MICHEAL, HE GETS UP AFTER TAKING 6 BULLETS, AND THIS WIMP BEAT HIM UP AND GOT HIS MASK. Then went on a murder spree on his behalf. I wanna see micheal kill, not the wimp Corey. The movie wasn't focused enough.
If I was given a chance to fix this mess, I would scrap Corey altogether. FUCK HIM. Focus on Micheal coming out of hiding and trying to take revenge on the people that were the spearheads of the attack against him in Halloween Kills. It's his final movie, let him go berserk like he did in Kills. Allyson would end up killed by Myers in a brutal way, then Laurie who was healing, would want to finish him once and for all. SEE, PERFECT. This is what a slasher should be like. Not this weird romantic murder movie where the main villain comes on for like less than 10 mins. FUCK THIS. I liked the first 2 of this trilogy so much. I gave them 4 and 4.5 stars respectively. The death of Micheal Myers would be done the same way but not so anticlimactic like it was in this movie. The stakes would be high.
Anyway, thanks for coming to my rant. I normally don't rant a lot about movies, but I do when it comes to franchises I enjoy. Ladies and gents, say it with me one last time, "FUCK COREY AND FUCK WHOEVER THOUGHT HIS CHARACTER WAS A GOOD ADDITION TO THIS STORY".
]]>HOLYYY, NOW THIS IS A SLASHER. I DON'T GET IT, WHY DON'T PEOPLE LIKE THIS??? THIS IS TOO GOOD. THE KILLS WERE PROBABLY THE BEST OF THE SERIES, MICHEAL IS A DIFFERENT BREED AFTER GETTING OUT OF THAT TRAP. OHHH CRAZY MOVIE. HAD ME HOOKED. LAURIE HAD LESS TO DO BUT ALL THE OTHER CHARACTERS WERE BROUGHT INTO THE SPOTLIGHT AND IT TURNED OUT WELL
]]>WOAH, NOW THIS WAS GOOD. It had a plot, it made sense. Laurie was hella paranoid and it made for an awesome way to get micheal. Nicely done. I will say though, the kills werent as great as the rest of the movies (apart from h20). I wanted to see him do it, not see the aftermath. It's a slasher film folks, ofc i wanna see the killer kill
]]>This is defo a high after the last one. This one lacked the kills tho. Good kills should be the no 1 priority in slasher films. It has a good plot, okayish character relationships. I like it a lot still.
]]>It's a mess. First of all, Myers has to be some supernatural entity..no fucking way he goes through all that. The start of the movie was good, the middle was boring, 10 mins before the ending was great and the ending was meh. It's just that the motivations were unclear. I must say though, the kills were FANTASTIC. Boi oh boy, the kills were crazy in this one.
With slashers, I think it's better to let them off the hook on many things. They aren't supposed to be visual masterpieces with complex dialogue. They should be movies with a nice mysterious plot and good kills, that's it. I can't believe I went so hard on Scream (my first proper slasher film that i recorded on letterboxd), that movie is 5 stars compared to this.
]]>Ladies and gents, this is the part where I say, "HOLY FUCKING SHIT FINCHER". What a film. Fincher is a master.
Look, I've seen 100s of video essays and read articles about Mark and his Facebook and I went into this thinking this movie won't make a mark (no pun intended) on me. I was wrong. From the first 15 mins itself, I was so captivated. We got to meet Mark and kinda got to know what type of a person he was and what followed, the facemash thing, it was so petty but I loved it. It established the type of guy he was. The entire montage was insane and one of my fav scenes.
The middle of the film where they move into Savarin's relationship with Mark was the best part of the movie. The dialogue across the entire film was quick but each line was meaningful. Each and every line impacted how the dynamics were between characters.
I've watched 4 Fincher movies, and all of them apart from Zodiac has resonated well with me. This is going into my top 4 favs. It was done perfectly. The rise of facebook and all the things done to get there was captured perfectly by Fincher.
]]>OK. I think I should've stopped at one. Where 1 brought a WOW factor, this one was just the same old cliche "computer that can take over the world" plot. I've been seeing movies with this plot for the past decade. It's gotten old now man. Let it die. Idk why, I preferred the first one and it's illusions and tricks, this one wasn't as interesting BUT that card scene, HELL YEAH. What a scene that was. The ending of the film, mehh. I think 3 stars is fine because of the card scene, the first act which was really interesting and the vibe they created in London. Other than that, the villains were meh, the same old computer chip that can take over the world thing. The jokes were worse than the last one ngl.
]]>I think I watched this movie for the first time in 2013 itself but never again. I didn't anything and I'm glad that was the case. The tricks, the plot twists, everything was really good. The pacing lacked and the ending felt a bit unclear, the dialogue also wasn't all that good. Apart from this, I'd say it's a decent film
]]>Like someone else said, this is the Texas Backshot Massacre. Freaky ahh movie man. Too many explicit sexual scenes, they lingered on the porno thing forever.
Man I feel so bad for RJ. Poor man. Bro's girl did that to him. I'd crash out man tf.
Someone needed to get granny laid, weird ahh woman.
]]>Today, I'm free asf. When I started watching this, I thought it's gonna be another mid movie and I'll prolly give it a 2.5 or 3 stars. This is actually PRETTY good. The plot was nice, the gore was good. I'd defo recommend. The poster looks like it was made by AI though, it's hideous BUT it's still a great film
]]>HOLY FUCKING SHIT FINCHER. When I watched Zodiac, I thought this would be almost the same BUT HOLY SHIT. What a story!!
The ending was scary ngl, super scary. After all that happened, that ending was smth out of a horror movie. WHAT A MOVIE. FINCHER. SHIFTED THE WHOLE THING ON IT'S HEAD TOWARDS THE MID OF THE FILM. I went from knowing what the hell was going on to now throwing my headphones because of the shock.
]]>what a slow burn man...you start to lose the focus on the case after a bit. It took me a bit to get up to speed again with the movie. I will say that the final 30 mins were REALLY good and well the first act too. Crazy ending. I actually didn't know that this was based on an actual story. There's a scene in the basement, yeah Fincher really put me on the edge of my seat for that one. There was a murder scene at the park which looked super realistic and the entire movie looks wise was pretty. The cars in that era are sexy as fuck. I might never watch this again, but there's a slight chance I might pick it up again in 2 to 3 years and peel off more info about what I saw in the movie.
]]>Look man, when it all began, I was wishing I had a babysitter like that. As it all unfolded, I was thanking my mom for leaving me at my aunty's house. It's a good movie, if you wanna watch Samara Weaving or Bella Thorne, or you wanna watch women kiss BUT, it ain't a movie that made a lot of sense. It felt incomplete. The motives weren't so clear, it just happened. Oh and things that a kid did that was COMPLETELY UNREALISTIC
]]>Good film. A bit too much at the end there but hey, the rest was really good. Great editing and the vibe was really nice. The mid act was the best part of the movie imo.
]]>This movie is very cathartic. It's very aesthetically pleasing. The plot of the film is a touching topic and sadly, I think it will become a norm in years. We are witnessing the beginning of it, in front of our very own eyes. This film at its core is about growth, self growth and even emotional maturity. It is defo heartbreaking but it does so in a way where it's purgative in a way.
I must say, its a masterpiece. The overall vibe seems like a dreamy haze. It's very pleasing to the eyes. The dialogue is really good. 5/5. According to what the concept of this movie was, I think it delivered right on point
]]>This review may contain spoilers.
FUCK JOSH. Bro got me feeling bad for Iris. TF. Anyway, I'm ngl, this movie is more 3.75 out of 5, but I just rounded it to 4. It's short and interesting. Did not see the reality of things until they were brought up and the little detail before made sense. It's a good watch. Once again, fuck josh. Feeling bad for Iris with 69 others
]]>I thought I wasn't a fan of musicals, but this was AMAZING. The plot itself is pretty simple yet layered. The visuals, the sets and the songs are great. Visuals really did blow me away. I was grinning during the dances and I'm someone who doesn't care one bit about dancing. The movie starts off nice and all, then takes a dark turn. It's actually pretty dark ngl, it was horrifying but done well. Oh and the acting, everyone did well apart from maybe the guy who played Tony, but he wasn't bad. The woman who played Anita is fine asl and her performance was also brilliant. That poster, gahdamn..i got a thing for creamish coloured posters.
I always thought musicals are happy and all, but this took a big turn and I loved it. Spielberg did a brilliant job with this
]]>It's a super slow burner...WAYY TOO SLOW. It did well in introducing the characters, the dynamics between those characters and their relationships, but it took a ton of time, I didn't suspect anything btw, if you watched the movie, you know what I'm talking bout. The story was actually interesting, the final 45 mins had me invested.
I won't say this is Tarantino's top 3 film, but it's pretty good storytelling. It's just too long.
]]>THATS WHY HES THE GOAT...THE GOAT. Tarantino is a goat. Its my bday, and I wanted to watch smth good. I'm glad I watched this. The last 45 minutes of the film were expectional and the performances peaked from every single actor. This gotta be one of my fav movies I watched. The action, the sets, the sceneries, everything was perfect. It's a movie about a disturbing topic but it does everything so well. Chris Waltz is one of the most underrated actors. Leo killed it in his role. Nothing but praise for this. The movie started off really great, I didn't think it would get any better but I was proven wrong. The music is perfection. Perfect again. Tarantinos shots were great. There's nothing bad about this movie. 10/10
]]>icl, it is a pretty entertaining film. The entire 70's vibe, the bizarre convos, the out of the box business ideas. It felt like Once Upon A Time In Hollywood in it's own way. I'll take 1 star away from it though. That is because of the ending, it was too rushed. The last 25 mins were meh, maybe even worse. The rest of the film kept your captivated and looking out for what came next. Also, the weird thing between Alana and Gary defo increased the uneasiness but I get that's what the director wanted
]]>There was screaming, then more screaming anddd...a bit more screaming. The kills in this one have been better than any of the slasher films I've watched. I went a bit hard on scream, imo if I watch it again, it's 5 stars just like this. Imo, the pacing was a bit off, but I loved the chases, the big reveal and the final act. Truly an amazing film
]]>I KNEW THE START WAS TOO QUICK, SMTH WAS UP. What a movie. So unpredictable. King Shark is the goat. Sometimes, i feel like Gunn just makes movies to show off his music taste, too good. That scene in the bus was brilliant, where they shared trauma stories. It's a really good film. The cover art is so good, one of my favs
]]>weird concept but its okay
]]>This was just a movie about a couple fighting and kissing back to back. That's it. Some of the insults were genuinely crazy and the acting was PHENOMENAL. It did feel like the director was letting his frustration out about the critics making everything about some political ideology. It was very long. Only thing good about this was the acting and some of the insults
]]>I can't lie, this trilogy might be one of my favs. Baby groot at the start dancing while shit goes down in the background was hilarious. The character development was there. Yondu is one of the best characters ngl. The arc was really interesting. The whistle arrow and what Yondu does with it is badass. The characters really bond over shared trauma
]]>I got a confession. I never watched any of the GOTG before GOTG 3. I was just never invested enough. Before Infinity War, I looked at some reviews to find out their backstories and what they are. Now that I have watched 1 and 3, I'm willing to say that this is some REALLY GOOD stuff. Especially the first 45 minutes of the movie are too good. The final act is good too. The middle of the movie was the weakest. I enjoyed how the relationships were worked on between all the characters. Old Groot was a badass and a cute tree. It's a 4/5.
]]>fucking hell. I don't even know what to say. Okay, firstly, someone get me star lord's playlist, this is some next level stuff. THIS IS A GLIMPSE OF PRIME MCU. INJECT THIS SHIT IN MY VEINS BABY. The villain was truly someone I despised. Rocket's entire origin story is dark..it was heartbreaking. Everything came together so perfectly man. The jokes were actually funny, they weren't forced. Only thing I felt that lacked was Adam Warlock. He wasn't used properly imo. It's still a 5 on 5, that doesn't change the fact about how much I enjoyed this film. This felt like MCU. I don't know why I watched all their other slop and ignored this. There's some kind of emotional thing going on with all the characters. Drax, Mantis and Groot don't feel like they are being sidelined. That one scene with Groot and Quill on the ship..yeah that one if you've watched this movie..that was SO GOOD. Rocket finally embraced his raccoon roots, Drax finally danced, Groot finally spoke non-groot, Nebula finally emoted, Mantis finally gained some independence, Kraglin finally mastered Yondu’s Whistle-Arrow and Peter finally went home. Basically everyone fulfilled their arcs.

I know people say that superhero movies aren't cinema and all. I don't care. This is one of the pinnacles of cinema. The entire saga was made with care and the end result was one of the best movies ever. I watched this 3 times in the cinema when it came out.
The heist they pull, started off fine, but towards the end it was heartwarming and heartbreaking. Cap and Tony went back to 1970, one meeting his dad and the other seeing his love, just perfection. Oh and don't even get me started on the death on the black widow.
The final battle is amongst the coldest scenes in cinema where Cap stands alone and then everyone s in. The score in the background when Steve says, "Avengers Assemble" elevates the entire experience to another level. I made peace with the ending of this film. I was gutted that we lost Tony and even more shocked when Steve stayed behind with Peggy. Now that I think about it, I don't blame him one bit. I'd have done the same.
]]>I miss this MCU. It was a magical time. After this movie came out, it felt like the world was on stand-by for the finale.
The movie has no flaws in my opinion. There are so many plotlines that come together well at the end. Thor's entry in Wakanda is one of the coldest scenes ever.
This MCU gotta return man. Leave all types of agendas and focus on stories. Focus on developing something better than the infinity saga. I'm going to watch Endgame again. These two movies were a proper experience.
]]>Enjoyed it more than my first watch which was 2 years ago at the cinema. The stakes are high for the finale. I'm hoping this franchise goes out on a high note as it is one of my fav's.
]]>This review may contain spoilers.
Look man, the start and all was good. Even the middle of the film. TF was that final act. Entire movie feels bitter now. Literally could've found any other way to bring Art's spark back.
I am just now realizing that this was more of movie about 2 gay friends. Crazy. Ehh, it's okayish. Just really disappointed with how it all went down. All of them were manipulators.
]]>Brandon is a maniac. What a villain. One thing this movie does really well is showcase why Hitchcock is known as the Master Of Suspense
]]>The manipulation in this is INSANE. This movie requires you to keep your brain on all the time but it's worth it. The inspector was also someone who acted dumber than he is. Not my fav hitchcock but it's not too bad.
]]>This was some good stuff ngl. The shots were great. The story was compelling. I do feel like the movie could've been trimmed a bit but it ain't so bad. The build-up towards the ending was really nice..all shown from a window. Too good. I've seen 2 Hithcock movies so far, and both have been OUTSTANDING
]]>Thoroughly enjoyed this. This felt like a Tarantino movie before Tarantino even got in this business. Crazy storyline. Loved it. Just came out to meet a woman..turned out to be the craziest night of his life.
]]>I'm willing to let it off the hook on some areas considering it's a 1978 movie. The score was too good. Myers is a crazy stalker. The tension was up during those scenes but I felt like the final act of the movie lacked. However, I let it off the hook since I can imagine audiences in '78 really loving this. It was a good film. It had a lot more potential because of how Myres was shown during his introduction and how the doc talked about him.
]]>Well, the score is pretty good. The effects were alright. I heard the producer added that final scene to open doors to sequels..well eff him..taking half a star away from this movie because of that. I spent the next 15 minutes wondering what happened in the end. The rest of the movie was done great ngl. The plot was interesting and freddy is menacing.
]]>Any stars this movie gets are due to the final act of the film. Wasn't expecting that AT ALL.
]]>decent..but those bangs on courtney cox weren't
]]>Imo, the original was better but this stands very well. The setting, the plot, it was good.
]]>Pretty fun movie ngl. Had me invested
]]>Brilliant. What a concept. Bunch of sweaty middle aged white men shouting at each other..all it took was one guy to cause the shift.
]]>It couldn't replicate the tension or scenes of the first one but ngl, it's a good movie. Done well
]]>the cinematography is amazing. The shots were mind blowing. Marge and Norm are adorable
]]>Had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The music in the background perfectly formed the suspense and made the scene tense. Crazy how it's a film from the 1960s and still is one of the best thrillers
]]>50th of the year for me and this is one of my fav films ever seen. The emotional aspect of it is so perfect. The shoes scene was gut wrenching. This is cinema with soul. This film was pro-love and pro-human. I loved it. I just can't find the words, but I know when I see a goated film...i feel it right now.
]]>bumped it to a 4 star honestly. Seen this movie a million times and it just gets better and better. James Bond type movie with racing...HELL YEAHH. Finn McMissile is my fav character.
]]>...2nd time watching this...and things seem even better than the first time I watched it...GOATED FILM
]]>spectacular. The entire movie was action packed. The war rig is a goated vehicle.
