Watched this again and this is such a great sequel, which takes nothing away from the shining and works as a great standalone sequel delving into what has come of the young man that survived the horrors of the overlook. I think the more people see Mike Flanagans great releases, this will be looked back on as a great movie in it's own merit and not just a shining sequel.
