On the eve of the Oscars, this film is still nothing short of a masterpiece, a blockbuster that also doubles as real art. I think when the dust settles on this period of movies Dune Part 2 will be at the top of the class, and one of the great science fiction movies, period. 

Only five nominations is a joke, and no Denis for Director is criminal.
