trite and exhaustingly degrading.
aligns itself well with other films of similar sensibilities such as Christiane f (1981), Thirteen (2003), Kids (1995), and Lilya 4-ever (2002) but feels hollow in comparison. yes this film shows the same adolescent despondency and nihilism, with the same illustration of how destructive it can be to grow up but idk i found it devoid of any deeper meaning.

sleek and sleazy, a perfect giallo. 
like how can you not love the excessive blood and feverish sensuality. 
obsessed with the dog chase scene and all the insane 80s ass decor

a gnarly fairytale-esque explosion. probably the most ambitious and thrilling film of the year. + Margaret Qualley & Demi Moore give amazing performances. definitely need to rewatch
