trite and exhaustingly degrading.
aligns itself well with other films of similar sensibilities such as Christiane f (1981), Thirteen (2003), Kids (1995), and Lilya 4-ever (2002) but feels hollow in comparison. yes this film shows the same adolescent despondency and nihilism, with the same illustration of how destructive it can be to grow up but idk i found it devoid of any deeper meaning.
