I love this movie and don’t think we talk about it enough. It may be the best of the Legendary monster movies. It’s certainly the one with the clearest plot and stakes. The monster action is fantastic and the human characters aren’t bad for a movie of this nature. The Apocalypse Now of it is a little heavy handed, but I don’t mind it in this context.

Lesser Die Hard is still Die Hard. The plot of this movie is unnecessarily complicated, but it’s still fun and action packed. This recent viewing led me to update my rankings:
