top 4 are some favorites watched last month
Gorgeously filmed, not just because it’s in black & white, but also because of the way the shots are set up… creating a strangeness that transcends eras or place.
Seemingly about the life & death of a sociopath, but also open for multiple interpretations. Well done, I would love to watch this again in a theatre!
Everything about this film was great except for the narrative, which is an important part (obvs)… it just wasn’t fully realized. At the end of the film I had to go back & watch the intro again. It all made more sense, but still, some of the plot points didn’t go anywhere.

I did really like the dog though.

When this film ended, I immediately wanted more! That was the fastest 2 hr 17 min runtime, honestly… if this was a television series, & went for, say, 7 seasons, I would be all in.
I loved the narrative’s representation of vampires, & was happy to see the film’s creators were not shy with the teeth or the glowing beady eyes! The ing cast was stacked, offering up one entertaining performance to the next. Of the main characters, my favorite was Sammie,…
