Not my kind of bad.

I loved this. Like the best of the X-men films, the superpowers are just a metaphor to explore something more profound. This is the kind of superhero story that I wish we had more of: the world isn't ending; no cities are destroyed; and it ties into the franchise canon without being a slave to it. The only thing at risk is the psychological well being of a few, well-defined characters with deep childhood trauma. And finally our first overtly queer protagonist.
RIP X-men movies.
