Trump parody feels forced but maybe it's just annoying because he "won" the election. If the madness was behind us, a satire of his phoniness and mannerisms would go over much better I assume. But we all for sure want someone to scream this at him:

Not sure what to rate this because it's a weird combination of lame exposition, tongue in cheek self ridicule, sincere sentimental nostalgia, and two of the most absolutely insanely great action set pieces ever. I guess the highest it gets is him suddenly jumping in the water.

Absolutely stunningly energetic. So funny, so rough. Such a beautiful chaotic outlook on love and pain. The silent tension culminating into that heartbreak of an ending is devastating, it broke a theatre, that was just before roaring of belly laughs, into weeping tears. This is by far the best movie of 2024 so far. Sean Baker you are outdoing even yourself here.

What a cinematic accomplishment. Best sequel in movie history.
