A sort of tenderness and quietness that might put people off. Not exactly a "Narrative" film in many senses, although there are strands of narrative that can be followed, but more of a "textural" film, where the message is delivered to you in fragments, small glimpses of emotion. The overall effect is one of overwhelming gentleness, the type of film that lays at your feet like a friendly dog and allows you the space to act as you wish. A comfort watch, so to speak, despite the pain contained therein. Beautifully shot, beautifully written, beautiful film.
