I love movies from 1975

1932
Pulls quite a bit of a bait-and-switch as the what the movie will be about, moves at a bizarrely swift pace without actually showing most things that go on, and features largely mediocre musical numbers (though I forgive Marlene Dietrich for not being the best singer because. Well. Shes Marlene Dietrich). Convinced my mom to watch this on the promise that its an early Cary Grant movie and we were both disappointed. BUT! Dear god von Sternberg knew how to shoot; this is, at times, one of the most magnificently beautiful films I've ever seen.
