This is the first Transforms film I've seen since Age of Extinction, when I swore off watching any more of them (even Bumblebee which I presumed would be bad after I saw 4 films of crap.) And oh joy; how nice to finally see a Transformers film that isn't just crap.
How nice to see a Transformers film that doesn't go on forever, and doesn't have a bunch of boring shit with humans, and isn't just a technological showcase forβ¦

To be clear, I'm trans; given the nature of the film that's very relevant here of course, but also relevant to my own experience with the film specifically.
That was a very... powerful experience, as you can probably imagine. It left me emotionally stunned and in tears many times. I mean the performances were strong, aesthetically the film is beautiful, the soundtrack was tasteful and fitting, the themes, subtexts and allegories are well-written and executed, and it has a coherent,β¦
