It’s Thanksgiving tradition.

I don’t even know what there is left to say about this. I love Green Goblin, the best super villain of all time. I love this silly goof version of Peter Parker. I love Raimi’s New York. I love it all so much. A mightily imperfect movie but it never matters.

I don’t know what Al is doing here but it’s a real slam Dunkacino. I finally got to break out my slimfluenced and thrifted blu ray for this watchlist shuffle and it was so much fun.

Sean Penn is transformative, a true chameleon performance. Man becomes one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen.

Maybe I’ll throw on another De Palma flick tonight 👀.

Man this is so close to a perfect movie, just take a few unnecessary scenes out and remove the narration entirely.

One of my all time favorite climaxes. I’m sorry to the Singing in the Rain ers, I’m sure it’s wonderful but I thought this would make for an all time hilarious 70mm ep to close off movies about movies month.

Leo is at the top of his freakin game here, this is possibly my favorite role from him. I’ve…

A wonderfully unique Italian horror flick from the end of Bava’s career. It’s not as polished as a film like Blood and Black Lace but makes up for it with bold story decisions and a weirdly bubbly score. The restoration by Arrow was wonderful as well, a great pick up!

Always been a blind spot for me as someone who did a research project on Bava and I’m glad I finally got to it.

I mean it’s perfect there’s not a lot else that needs to be said. It’s hilarious, freakin awesome to look at and most importantly of course it rocks.

Maybe this time the 70mm gang will come to their senses and enjoy a 5 bangin sand worm movie.

Sleepy Hollow

Loved the feel of this, dripping with style from top to bottom. Literally didn’t care what was happening.

My second bug related horror for Hooptober and I chose to blindly buy a vinegar syndrome copy for it off the recommendation of The Colors of The Dark pod.

This copy ruled it sounded and looked great but more importantly this movie was a blast and required my full attention. Seth Green was also adorable in it. Forgot this would actually be pretty disturbing because ticks are horrifying in real life.

I love Altman, but this movie is just mean spirited and not fun. What a weird excuse for a comedy, times really were different I guess.

Sucks because I have so many positive memories of my uncle watching this movie and the show when I was a kid :(.

I watched this last night and I did not enjoy it so I decided to let my thoughts marinate overnight and write what I feel the next day. I’ve read many positive reviews for this from people whose opinions I quite respect, but I did not like this whatsoever.

I freakin love Wes Craven from everything I’ve seen up until this point, but this does not work for me. I did watch the unrated cut because that’s what was at…

What a beautiful adaptation of a fantastically rich text. Greta I will be first in line to every movie you release forever. My only possible complaint is I can see this timeline being a bit confusing for someone not familiar with the story. Not only my favorite movie we’ve watched for this group, but one of my favorites I’ve seen for the first time this year. I will be rewatching this yearly with Lady Bird for the rest of forever.

I want to give this a higher score for historical significance and the overall balls of Godard to go for it and make this racy, fun, and cheap film. This pulls from all aspects of media and genre in a fun and entertaining way, I just wish I got more out of it than entertainment. I was grasping at straws trying to understand the bigger picture with this one but it just didn’t click.

RIP Godard. I can’t wait to check out more of his work!
