The summer movie season starts off with a bang, thanks to a finally focused, distinct and complete marvel movie. Thunderbolts* has all the necessary ingredients that make modern superhero films so successful, heart, comedy, thrilling action, and a satisfying conclusion that progresses the overarching story forward. All of this by being powered by the endlessly talented Florence Pugh as the narrative center.

What is there left to say Sinners, is powerful, beautiful, and necessary. Also in case you forgot, Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan are a match made it heaven.

This was an interesting watch; Zoey Deutch manages to walk an incredibly fine line. Her character is so unredeemable, yet I found myself caring about her when the movie came to a close. I found it as a nice commentary on trauma, depression, and the dangers social media can present. Almost every scene Dylan O’Brien is in is hilarious. However, the show stealer was Mia Isaac, looking forward to seeing more roles for her in the future.

Simply unbelievable. Lily Gladstone, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Robert De Niro all give legendary performances backed by the genius of Martin Scorsese’s direction. I really don’t know what to say other than it’s a spectacular crime drama romance movie, that offers a new perspective to the big screen.
