A masterpiece that sured the word masterpiece.
]]>Beautiful.
Epic.
Poetic.
Surreal.
Enlightening.
One of the best film of all time.
Finally I can say this officially:
"PLANET OF THE APES TRILOGY IS ONE OF THE MOST EPIC AND GREATEST ACTION SERIES OF ALL TIME."
Tong: " my uncle who can recall his past lives?"
Me: "Ooo..I understood that reference!!"
]]>This movie makes me puke, especially when Sia's song starts to play
]]>-The Side Effects
-The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
-Carol
-Song to Song
Those movies are proof that Rooney Mara was born to be a lesbian.
]]>PROS:
-Non linear storyline with dreamy atmosphere
-Great performance by the cast
-Scoring
CONS:
-Some moments feel too cheesy
-Teribbly paced
-The dialogue is trying so hard to be smart by imitating Woody Allen's fast talking dialogue that making me exhausted
Summary:
A unique genre-bending film that have an enjoyable moment but also boring at some parts
Is this the standard of what they called "masterpiece" nowaday?
I honestly don't get any praised of this movie because what I ed from seeing this movie are just a fucking loud sounds without any memorable impression. What makes this movie so empty for me because Nolan seems too focused on technical aspects and forgot the important aspects of writing. The dialogues of each characters seems unnatural and we cannot feel any emphaty for the characters because the characters are painfully one dimentional. This movie also use a non-stop action sequence that are sometimes feel intense but sometimes it feels boring. My mind is floating around instead of paying attention to the action sequence because of the lacks of moments that are actually screen grabbing and the scenes seems obviously repetitive. Hans Zimmer also seems very overproud of his score because he used it so many times that are unfortunately making a noisy sound instead creating an actual atmospheric moments. This is by far one of the most overrated movie by one of the most overrated director of all time.
Have you ever seen film that was so great but you find it hard to recommend it to your friend?
Well, this is it.
Goodbye, Dragon Inn tells a story about loneliness with minimal camera movements that contains a lot of long shots, no scoring(except the ending scene), slow burning pace, and only contains 2 dialogue scenes in entire film. Tsai Ming-liang's melancholy visualitation is so unique even with a thin script it literally tell you a lot from characters movement and melancholy atmosphere. I personally love how this movie can stirred my emotion from being curious, sad, funny, and I can't find myself being bored at any minutes.
Man..
I'm not prepared for this emotional roller coaster trip and this movie really hit me hard.
Have you ever seen something so intense, so vague, so beautiful, and so powerful?
Well this is IT
The Master is something that two steps maybe three steps ahead for our generation. It's so depressing that so many people seems didn't get how great this movie really is. I hope this movie deserve more appreciation in the future and I reccomend you to watch this MASTERpiece as soon as fucking possible!!
I starting to think that Cate Blanchett is the female version of Daniel Day-Lewis.

Now I truly understand why Daniel Craig called Judy Dench a bitch.
]]>Not including this on best picture nomination is true crime against humanity and Academy should be prosecuted because of it.

]]>2017:
The year with a lot of daddy issues.
It will melted everyone's heart even the coldest one.
]]>WOW WTF IS GOING ON??!!
]]>Tommy Wiseau is in it.
]]>Chick loves rich guy
]]>AAARRGGHH MY NIPPLES
]]>After watching this, I keep repeating California Dreamin by the Mamas and the Papas ALL DAY LONG
]]>I'm not a fan of animation movie but I decided to watch Anomalisa because I'm a sucker for Kauffman's work and everyone seems reccomended this movie for me. So I watched this and HOLY CRAP!!
I lost every words after watching this movie because I rarely seen something so beautifully crafted and makes my jaw dropped like Anomalisa did. And I'm not gonna lie, this is one of the best animation I've ever watched.
Dialogues are cleverly written and animation are out of this world. This movie fills with a lot of interesting characters and we can bond with every characters emotionally because each characters can reflect the honest reality about loneliness and sadness of our life.
It's not everybody's cup of tea, but if you want to watch a different kind of animation with adult thematric, I highly reccomend this movie.
Some people bashed this movie because they usually compared this movie with previous Wong Kar Wai's films. For me, each of his movies have a different kind of style and it cannot be compared. Sure it seems kinda odd for some people to see Wong Kar Wai's movie with people speaking english language.
What makes me interest to seeing this movie because I'm a huge fan of Norah Jones and it's a pure joy to see her acted in this film. She can keep a balance with another professional actors besides her lacks of acting experience. But sometimes the scenes between characters can be too dull because of the thin material. But it seems payoff because we can see a lot of unique characters with bittersweet moments in it. And what makes this film beautiful is the dreamy visuals that are very pleasing to watch.
It's not a perfect movie but I have a lot good times watching it.
]]>Deliberately bad film that deserves a deliberately bad rating.
]]>When people ask me what is my definition about perfection, I simply said "The Godfather". Why? Because this flawless movie is literally shaping myself to become cinephile since I was a child and made me love the world of cinema. And I am sure I can watch this movie about 3 times and I will never get tired of it.
]]>I know where this is coming and I've already expecting this movie turns out to be total milking piece of crap.
This brand new FF movie adds a lot of humorous moments than usually they do in previous saga but it just doesnt work very well. The humours are too ridiculous to laugh about and the funniest thing about this film is ironically the unintentionally cheesy action in this movie. The characters are interesting but they just have to speak from the bad writing lines. Whenever they verbally doing something, it's just making me cringing a lot during the theater.Watching all of those reminds me a lot of Expendables which is kinda fun but stupid at the same time.
This is by far one of the worst FF movie in this franchise and please for the love of God, STOP BEATING THE DEAD HORSE.
]]>Criminally underrated piece of art.
]]>BBC ranked this movie as #1 best movie of 21st century? I can live with that.
What makes this movie great is because David Lynch can string up the complexity with unique story telling and beautiful narrative. This movie is full of dream-like experience with dark theme beneath it that challenged us to think.
I personally cannot find any single flaw in this film because this is a pure cinematic experience and that's why this is become one of my favorite movie ever!
Element of suspense + artistic design = this movie!
My only issue about this movie is how wooden the acting of the cast is. The dubbed voice they make kinda distracted me, but if you look from how Dario Argento used the color grading and composition of music, you will find how brilliant this movie really are. At least it can make the acting little bit more tolerable.
]]>It's entertaining and intelligent movie that explores philosophical question about human free will that 100% worth your time.
]]>Kieślowski is one of the director that I respected the most. His undeniably achievement at filmmaking proves that he is one of the best director of all time. Experimental film with beautiful color grading has become his original trademark. At this movie, he mostly used yellow.
The Double Life of Veronique tells a story about a woman who feels like she is not alone in this world A.K.A she has a doppleganger. This film deals about sexuality with mysterious thematic elements. The story itself is kinda puzzling and challenge us to think about small details on this film.
What I like the most about this movie is of course the acting quality of Irene Jacob with great scoring and the beautiful cinematography alongside the movie. The scoring is reminds me a lot of Three Colors: Blue which is good. But, my main issue about this movie is there is some parts that feels plain and empty. The romance part didn't have any emotional impact for me and some character relations are seems too forced.
Despite of that, The Double Life of Veronique is still a solid piece of art but I just expected something more from this movie.
]]>WOW. JUST WOW.
I did not expected this film to be this good. This film feels like a freakin roller coaster ride. It can be scary and funny at the same time. Jordan Peele is absolutely genius in writing this script. Each characters of this movie are all interesting and it will make your eyes glued on screen. The twist is kinda predictable at the first part but it turns out to be crazier than I ever imagined.
This is hands down one of the best movie of 2017 and probably the best thriller of the last five year
]]>I love every minute of this movie and it's making me miss Robin Williams even more.
]]>It's like a non stop adrenaline injection full with total mayhem that perfectly excecuted with the most intense ending ever.
]]>*lie down*
*try not to cry*
*cry a lot*
Mysterious, neo-noir, and stylish. This is the true definition of ultra-cool movie. It can use the minimalistic as the medium to create an astonishing story line. The performance by Alain Delon is truly unforgettable and don't forget about the classy soundtrack from this film too.
Absolutely stunning.
Charming and delightfully well-written comedy with some brilliant cast performance.
]]>The premise of this movie is very creative but being creative doesnt mean it can make this movie great.
The script is strong in the first half and we can feel the emotion for the characters but it fell off hard with the second act. Gaspar is like trying to re-tell the same story over and over again in this movie with an extra long duration.
It's not a film for everybody but at least we can appreciate the highly-skilled cinematography in this movie.
Tarkovsky is like a painter and this is his masterpiece.
]]>Honest, funny, and romantic. This is a remarkable movie that show us the meaning of true friendship with some comedic moments that are not exaggerating.
]]>One of the most Scorsese monumental film. It has some incredibly coherent story with strong performance by the cast.
]]>Just like another Haneke's film, the pace of this movie is slow burning, but it can hold your breath for approximately 2 hours.
]]>This is arguably the most immersive work of art with terrific camera movements.
]]>Harrowing experimental movie with unique love story and great anti-war message captured in this highly-skilled photograph movie.
]]>One of my favorite gangster movie of all time. You can feel so much connection between each characters in this movie with masterful direction of Brian De Palma.
]]>Trust me, this movie is scarier than the most horror movies nowadays.
]]>Noirish and stylish crime drama with a very intelligent technical composition, such as editing and sound design.
Ryan Gosling standout as nameless hero with charismatic performance ala Alain Delon in this dark vibrant adventure that was very appealing to neo-noir fans.
