]]>What a life - a major presence in my childhood. An undercurrent of sadness pervades this whole thing.
]]>So goddamn solid
]]>Doesn't quite reach the heights of the previous two films, but it's still more Paddington, and for that I am grateful
]]>Watched on Thursday May 15, 2025.
]]>This happened to me but instead of Brad Pitt it was Bluey
]]>Pretty good! Christoph Waltz obviously fucks and probably my favorite Brad Pitt performance.

]]>THE perfect comedy
I don't know the last time my mom laughed this hard or this long
]]>Watched on Sunday April 20, 2025.
]]>Very un-Black Mirror in the best way
]]>Didn’t fully connect with this one but I’m happy to see Will Poulter again
]]>Put me in The Court Jester and let me run away with Glynis Johns
]]>This review may contain spoilers.
Could have been a perfect episode if it ended literally 30 seconds sooner
]]>I don’t agree that this is a movie but I gotta boost my stats
Welcome back Black Mirror, I guess!!! I heard this new season was more like the early seasons, but this is especially bleak even by Black Mirror standards. Rashida Jones is the new queen of genre tv!
]]>There’s the meme of Pete being a literal monster in Mickey cartoons vs a suburban jerk in Goofy cartoons, but I think this Pete is the more insidious iteration. In this essay, I will

]]>Nasty little freak Steven Yeun
]]>The reason I don't have a drivers licence is I don't want to get Sunset Boulevarded and no one seems to understand that
]]>David Hyde Pierce is one of the best performers working today and I won’t hear anything to the contrary
Ewan McGregor is the perfect man
]]>holy shit it's a fucking train!!!!!
]]>Watched on Monday February 24, 2025.
]]>I was distracted by a Republican Online while watching this so I’ll circle back and give it the attention it deserves later but from what I can tell it’s a lot like The Terminator, and I like that movie
Shoutout to my buddy Alex who is one of the several people who reads these reviews
]]>Watched on Friday February 7, 2025.
]]>Can’t believe this guy was the Governor of California
]]>Unfortunately prescient. I think this is my first time watching since it was released in theaters- I was 15 years old at the time, so I didn't have the fullest understanding of what was really happening. Jesus Christ this thing is good!!!!
There's not much I can say to praise this film that hasn't been said hundreds of times already, but Fincher and Sorkin really are a match made in heaven. No attempt to portray Mark as any sort of hero. Casting is excellent across the board- after watching this and The Last Showgirl I think it's time for a Brenda Song renaissance.
]]>Watched on Saturday February 1, 2025.
]]>Why's everything gotta be so cynical these days? What happened to earnest, kind comedies like this?
]]>Lots of fun and insightful ideas, presented like a subpar youtube video essay.
]]>Not bad by any means, but didn’t do much for me. Might have enjoyed it more if I knew it was a true story going in, but I shouldn’t have to do homework to enjoy a movie right??
]]>Jesus Christ
]]>Just lovely! Great storytelling is its own reward. Farnsworth tugs the heartstrings.
]]>I can easily relate to the need to create art to survive - and very literally relate to the desire to create an online community to keep myself sane during COVID lockdown- so this was a very personal watch for me.
It’s not very often that I see all the joys of just having a bunch of people in a room together trying to make a play, riffing and goofing around, my favorite parts of the collaborative process. The need to innovate around unexpected obstacles, that I am dealing with constantly with my company.
Makes me want to do some quick and dirty Shakespeare, who’s in
