Wow this was so epic!!! What a film to see on my birthday! Denis Villeneuve is just one of the best working today and he proves it here making such a cinematic masterpiece here. The technical achievements here are  amazing the cinematography is breathtaking, the vfx are amazing the worms look so real it really blew me away, the action set pieces are immaculate the fight choreography was just incredible you could feel every punch, and Hans Zimmers score was captivating one of my favorite in awhile. This second half of this story was just incredible and a lot better than the first one that I loved but this made that one a lot better. I like the characters a lot more in this one then the first that was a huge problem in the first one but this has a lot more character development especially for Paul and Chani, their story actually has such a emotional impact at the end, and I really love that they don’t try to make Paul out to be this complete hero what he is doing isn’t all good and how’s he goes about it isn’t perfect. Timothée Chalamet gives such a bad ass performance he commands the room when he walked in he is one of my favorite actors working today and he absolutely kills it here. Zendaya is incredible here, she just gives a very emotional performance, I could just feel every emotion from her. Rebecca Ferguson is such a queen she gives such a chilling performance. Javier Bardem gives a really great performance adding a bit of humor that felt very natural. Dave Bautista is awesome. Florence Pugh the little bit she was in this she was incredible as she always is. And Austin Butler was amazing as our villain creepy as hell and he was just unrecognizable as this character. 

This does take a minute to get going I gotta say, and although the characters are a bit better but other then Paul and Chani no other characters really get much development. 

But this was incredible and I wouldn’t be surprised if this stays my favorite film of 2024 for the whole year cause it’s gonna take a lot to dethrone this. I’m completely blown away.
