oh, the love i have for gay films (and women).

I cried so hard because Martha’s confusion, her denial, her anger, her self-hate.. it’s all too familiar. So many queer people carry that same weight. That same pain. The way she looked at herself with disgust, like her own skin betrayed her, that doesn't come out of nowhere. It’s the world that teaches us to hate ourselves before we even understand who we are. 

And this film. This raw, unflinching film was made in the 1960s. That alone makes it powerful. Brave. It saw us long before the world dared to.

watched this because everyone said i'd drown in my own tears…uhhh only shed three. now I'm crying about that instead HAHHAHAAHAH.

jokes aside, not really my cup of tea, but i did love how it portrayed love. realized that to love is not just about grand displays, but knowing them in quiet ways.

anw, this movie is literally ME, my ion for film, and my family's entire storyline, just laid out on screen. like, seriously, how do filmmakers keep accidentally recreating our lives??? are we all living the same chaotic plot twist??  uhmm r we all okay? hHAHAHAHAHH

my soul ached watching this. like, why do the most genuine people always have to suffer the most?? universe really said, “let’s make it harder for the ones who deserve love the most.” >:(((

this masterpiece reminds us that hell is not a place below our feet, but a shadow that walks among us, woven into the world we call home.

this movie is actually so devastating. like yeah, it’s about ai and the future and all that, but at its core?
it’s about the illusion of unconditional love, the way we twist ourselves into something we’re not just to be wanted, and the brutal truth that sometimes, no matter how much you love someone, they won’t love you back. OH and the worst part? David never stops hoping. 

★★★★½ – coz no movie should make me feel this much for a robot. KIDDING ,, TOTALLY a 10000/100
