there’s nothing as liberating as giving in to madness

no matter how many times i rewatch this, it always hits me.

to this day, i still can’t put my finger on what it is that sets this movie apart from other similar films, but it just has that special something. it might be the fact that i first watched it at the ripe age of twelve or cate blanchett’s piercing blue eyes, either way, im glad this movie made it’s way into my life making me feel so many emotions and setting high standards for what pure selfless love should be. Carol (2015) will forever have a place in my heart.
