Loved how goofy this was. The Best Screenplay award at Cannes and comments from the director make this a bit of a head scratcher in regards to the overall feminist messaging. Feels like critical re-evaluation is happening in real time rather than 10-20 years after the release. This is far closer to a Troma/Toxic Avenger-type picture than anything Cronenberg - and that’s exactly why I loved it!
