Cat O’ Nine Tails is an 1971Italian Giallo set in Italy. Directed by one of my favorite directors, Dario Argento and starring Karl Malden and James Franciscus.
Malden plays a retired blind news reporter who teams up with Franciscus who plays reporter, Carlo Giordani to try and solve a series of murders that seem to be connected to a pharmaceutical company.
This is one of my favorite movies directed by Argento.

A descendant of Dr. Frankenstein is now living in present day L.A. He creates a teenage monster out of dead body parts from drag racers!! Of course the monster eventually goes on a killing spree.
I Was A Teenage Frankenstein was directed by Herbert L. Strock and starring Whit Boswell, Phyllis Coates, and Gary Conway. Coates was the second actress to portray Lois Lane on the silver screen. 
An above average exploitation film made at the height of the 1950’s teenage movie craze.

Cathy’s Curse is a 1977 supernatural horror film directed by Eddy Matalon. 
A young girl is possessed by her deceased aunt whose spirit was formerly trapped in a rag doll.
This low budget film has plenty of charm for people that love “bad” movies. It has terrible acting, absurd sound effects and awful dialogue. I loved every minute of it!

Halloween 2 picks up exactly where the first one left off. Laurie is taken to hospital to be examined and Michael Myers soon follows. More graphic and bloody than the original but not as scary. However it has enough kills and suspense to please most horror fans. 
Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasence reprise their roles from the original. JLC is basically wasted here as all she is required to do is scream and run from Michael. Pleasence is more dramatic and flamboyant in the sequel. 
Watching Halloween 1 and 2 back to back is great for Halloween night if you have nothing else to do.

When  a Stranger Calls is a 1979 horror film directed by Fred Walton. It stars Charles During, Carol Kane, and Colleen Dewhurst. 
The first 25 minutes of this is terrifying and concludes with a very suspenseful wrap up.
Kane plays a teenage babysitter who starts getting phone calls where the caller asks her if she has checked the children. Eventually she s the police and they trace the calls only to discover the calls are coming from inside the house! The police arrive in time to rescue Kane but not the children who have been brutally murdered.
Years later the killer escapes from an asylum and starts stalking a middle aged woman he meets in a bar played by Dewhurst. Durning plays the cop who caught the killer originally and now wants to make sure he catches him again. Eventually the killer decides to track down Kane, who is now married and has children of her own.
This is a classic horror film from the 70’s. The opening has been copied many times but never as good as this.

Horrors of Spider Island is a rip roaring good time for fans of unintentionally funny movies. Movies that are so poorly acted and produced. 
The plot is as follows. Alex D’Arcy plays a talent agent who hires a bunch of buxom, beautiful women to dance in a club in Singapore. While en route via a plane, it crashes into the ocean. While surviving on a life raft for a few days they come upon an island. Unbeknownst to them it is infested with spiders. Gary (D’Arcy) is bitten by one of the spiders and proceeds to turn into a spider monster. 
The entire film is hilarious and the acting is on a grade Z level. However I loved every minute of it. If you are a fan of Ed Wood movies and the like, you should thoroughly enjoy Horrors of Spider Island.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a 1974 Horror Film directed by Tobe Hooper. The plot follows Five teenagers who fall victim to a family of cannibals. 
The character of Leatherface was inspired by real life serial killer, Ed Gein.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a true classic in the horror genre. It was a huge hit when released in 1974 and played in Drive-Ins all throughout the 70’s.

Wait Until Dark is a 1967 thriller directed by Terence Young. It is adapted from the 1966 Broadway play starring Lee Remick. Audrey Hepburn takes over the role in the movie. She is ed by Richard Crenna, Alan Arkin, and Efren Zimbalist JR.
Hepburn plays Suzy Hendrix, a blind housewife who is terrorized by a Psychotic thug named Roat and his henchmen who are after a doll that is filled with heroin. Unbeknownst to Suzy it was hidden somewhere in her apartment.
Arkin and Hepburn give excellent performances in this very suspenseful film.

A View to a Kill is Roger Moore’s last outing as James Bond. It also stars Christopher Walken as Max Zorin who was a product of Nazi Experiments  The Nazis were injecting massive amounts of steroids to pregnant women in an attempt to create a Super Race of children. However most of the babies died and the ones that survived became highly intelligent and psychotic. Grace Jones plays Zorin’s lover and chief bodyguard, May Day. Tanya Roberts portrays Stacey Sutton, Bond’s love interest. 
Ad usual Christopher Walken is excellent in the role as the villainous Zorin and Grace Jones is memorable as the villainess. 
The theme song performed by Duran Duran is the only Bond song to hit number one on the Billboard Top 100 and also received a Golden Glibe nomination for Best Song.

Author Ben Mears returns to his childhood home, falls in love and finds out vampires are real.
This is the 3rd adaptation of one of Stephen King’s most terrifying books. The first two clocked in just over three hours while this one is only two. I read director, Gary Dauberman originally filmed a three hour version but because of studio interference they whittled it down to two. It really shows as you notice missing storylines, lack of character development, and plot holes. I still rated it four stars because I did enjoy watching it but I’m sure this would be rated higher if I saw the original version. To film Salem’s Lot adequately you they should make it a mini series.
That being said I did think Lewis Pullman was good as Ben Mears as was Pilou Asbaek as Straker. Overall it is a fun vampire movie.

Deliverance is a 1972 Thriller directed by John Boorman. It stars 4 Atlanta businessmen who decide to go canoeing down the Cahulawassee River in rural Georgia. On their way they encounter some locals that don’t like City folk coming into their territory. Shortly after they are attacked by the locals and their vacation becomes a nightmare fighting to survive. 
Deliverance stars Burt Reynolds, Jon Voight, Ronny Cox, and Ned Beatty. All 4 actors are excellent in their roles. Deliverance is still as harrowing today as it was 53 years ago when it was released.

Jeepers Creepers is a 2001 horror film directed by Victor Salva. It stars Justin Long and Gina Philips as siblings Darry and Trish Jenner. The budget was 10 million dollars and it made almost 60 million.
Driving through Florida from Spring Break on their way home, Darry and Trish notice an old vehicle tailgating them. Eventually the vehicle es. Soon they come across the same vehicle off the road next to an abandoned church. They notice the driver dumping things that look like wrapped up bodies down a pipe in the ground. After the driver leaves they decide to investigate and their suspicions are confirmed.
The rest of the movie is non stop suspense, action, and terror! Jeepers Creepers is very exciting with a scary monster called the Creeper, expertly played by Jonathan Brock. Long and Philip’s are also very good as the siblings.

Richard Gere plays Errol Babbage, an agent who works for the department of public safety. His responsibility is to keep an eye on sex offenders. Just before he is about to retire a young girl is abducted. While in the process of training his replacement Allison Lowry played by Claire Daines, Errol is determined to find and save this girl. 
The Flock is a suspenseful thriller. However it is pretty dark and disturbing. Gere gives one of his finest performances. 
Because of the subject matter this could be a difficult movie for some people to watch.

Insidious Chapter Two is a sequel to Insidious. A horror film directed by James Wan. The whole cast returns as the Lambert family tries to adjust to a normal life after the events of the first film. 
Chapter two delves into the backstory of the Lambert family. The scares and horror are just as good as the first film. Patrick Wilson is good as always along with Rose Byrne and Lin Shaye.
Insidious 2 is a great haunted house, possession, ghost story.

The Long Kiss Goodnight is a 1996 Action/Thriller directed by Renny Harlin. It stars Geena Davis, Samuel L. Jackson, and Craig Bierko.
Davis plays a mild mannered school teacher who only re the last eight years of her life. Anytime before that is a total blank. After suffering a concussion she starts to realize she has physical skills she never thought she had. She hires a private detective played by Jackson to investigate her past. 
Both Davis and Jackson have said that this film is one of their personal favorites.

Fun With Dick and Jane is a 1977 comedy film directed by Ted Kotcheff. Starring George Segal and Jane Fonda playing a successful middle class couple who have fallen on hard times financially. After exhausting all their options they decide to turn to a life of crime. Segal is one of my favorite actors and he does comedy superbly. Fonda is also very good as Jane. Dick Gautier and Fred Willard appear in ing roles.
Fun With Dick and Jane was Columbia’s third highest grossing films at the box office in 1977.

The Invisible Man is a 1933 Horror film directed by James Whale. It was based on the 1897 novel by H.G. Wells. Claude Raines and Gloria Stuart star.
Raines plays Dr. Jack Griffin who develops a serum that causes invisibility. The downside is that a side effect causes insanity. Once Jack takes the serum he starts off by pulling some harmless pranks on unsuspecting people. However as time goes by and he becomes insane, he resorts to mayhem, destruction, and murder. 
This is one of the greats of the Universal Classic Horror Films. Claude Raines is excellent as the Invincible Man and the rest of the cast lend good . 
If you are a fan of classic horror films and haven’t seen it yet I highly recommend it.

The Dead Zone is a 1983 Horror/Science Fiction Film directed by David Cronenberg. It was adapted from the Stephen King novel. It stars Christopher Walken, Brooke Adams, Tom Skeritt, and Martin Sheen.
Walken plays Johnny Smith a school teacher who ends up in a terrible vehicle accident and after being in a coma for some time, he wakes up and discovers he can see people’s past, present, or future just by touching them.
This is one of the better Stephen King movies made. Also Cronenberg does an excellent job with directing.

Fried Green Tomatoes is a 1991 comedy/drama directed by Jon Avnet. It is based on the book by the same name written by Fannie Flagg. Fellow old timers know her from the classic game show Match Game from the 1970’s. Very funny show with a lot of fun jokes and questions that would most likely offend the sensitive people of the present. But I digress….
Kathy Bates plays Evelyn who befriends a resident in a retirement home named Nilly played by Jessica Tandy. Nilly proceeds to tell Evelyn about her life in the town of Whistle Stop. Mary Stuart Masterson & Mary Louise Parker also star. 
Fried Green Tomatoes was a huge hit. It was filmed on a budget of 11 million dollars and went on to make almost 120 million dollars.

Let me start by stating that I saw this when I was a kid and loved it. I actually still do. 
Directed by William Castle, I Saw What You Did is a 1965 movie about two bored teenagers playing pranks on the telephone. Soon enough one of their pranks gets them into danger.
Joan Crawford and John Ireland are on hand as the people the teenagers run afoul of.
Definitely for fans of William Castle and Joan Crawford.

Daisy Kenyon is a 1947 melodrama starring Joan Crawford, Dana Andrew’s, and Henry Fonda. Directed by Otto Preminger, Crawford gives an excellent performance. Playing the titular role, Crawford is in love with Dan O’Mara (Andrews), who is a married lawyer. Eventually getting tired of being the other woman, Daisy starts dating Peter Lapham (Fonda). Eventually Daisy starts seeing Dan again and is now in a love triangle. 
There is a lot of detail to the characters and the story is very “modern” for the 40’s. The actors all give good performances. Recommended for fans of Joan Crawford and Classic Cinema.

One of the greatest sequels ever made. Sigourney Weaver returns as Ripley to do battle with not one but a bunch of Aliens in this masterpiece. Also in the cast are Michael Biehn, Bill Paxton, Lance Henriksen, and Paul Reiser.
Ripley and a bunch of marines return to the planet where the alien eggs were discovered. There they encounter numerous aliens including their queen. 
Non stop action and frights are in store for the rest of the movie. One of the greatest sci-fi/horror films of all time.

The Legacy is a 1978 Supernatural/Horror movie directed by Richard Marquand in his directorial debut. It also stars Sam Elliott and Katharine Ross. Fun Fact: Sam and Katharine have been together for 41 years!!!
Sam and Katharine play an American couple, Pete & Maggie, who work as interior decorators. Maggie receives a large sum of money from an anonymous client in England. Shortly after arriving they are involved in an automobile accident with a Rolls-Royce. The owner of the Rolls, Jason Mountolive, invites them to his estate. Once there they meet five family of Mountolive. The family explain to Maggie and Pete that they are there because Jason is dying and they are his heirs. Maggie and Pete are stunned because when they met Jason he looked perfectly healthy.
Maggie goes to visit Jason in his bedroom and he shoves a ring on her finger which she finds impossible to remove.After trying to leave the estate, Maggie and Pete find they are unable to. 
Then the heirs start dying in mysterious and horrific ways. 

I love 70’s horror films and The Legacy is no exception. This may be a little confusing if you are not paying attention but it has great sets and people dying in gruesome ways. Plus any movie with Sam Elliot is a plus!

Cutthroat Island is a 1995 Action/Adventure film directed by Renny Harlin. Starring Geena Davis, Matthew Modine, and Frank Langella. 
Davis plays Morgan Adams, a female pirate in the 17th century. Modine plays her slave/ love intrest William Shaw. Together they go searching for buried treasure on Cutthroat Island. Langella plays Morgan’s uncle who is also searching for the treasure. They have to do battle with each other along the way. 
Cutthroat Island is one of the biggest box office failures in history. The budget was close to 115 million dollars according to some reports and only took in 16 million worldwide. However I love this movie and enjoyed it very much.

Basic Instinct is a 1992 Erotic Thriller directed by Paul Verhoeven. It stars Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas. 
Stone plays Catherine Tramell, a crime novelist who is a suspect in the Ice Pick murder of a rock star. Douglas plays Nick Curran, a homicide detective assigned to the case. 
Catherine seduces Nick into a steamy affair. As more murders occur, Nick’s girlfriend Beth, played by Jeanne Tripplehorn, also becomes a suspect.
Basic Instinct is the movie that propelled Stone to superstardom. She is gorgeous and totally owns every scene she is in. Douglas is good in his role as well. 
Basic Instinct had many copycat movies throughout the 90’s but none as good as this.

Pet Sematary 2 is a 1992 sequel directed by Mary Lambert. While not as good as the first one it has enough scares, thrills and gore to satisfy horror fans. 
This one stars Edward Furlong, Anthony Edwards, and Clancy Brown. Brown delivers a great performance especially when he comes “back”. 
All in all this is a good sequel.

Two American college students go backpacking through a town in England when they are attacked by a werewolf. David played by David Naughton is bitten during the attack but his friend Jack played by Griffin Dunne is killed.
While David recovers from his injuries he starts having horrific nightmares and then Jack comes from beyond the grave to explain to David what is happening to him. 
We all know what happens when the full moon rises! An American Werewolf in London is a Horror/Comedy directed by John Landis. This was the first film to win an Academy Award for Special Effects. The transformation scene is one of the best ever made for film. Equally scary and funny, this is one is easily a classic!

The 8th installment and last Friday the 13th from the 80’s. This was also the last one that Paramount produced. It was the end of an era. I just can’t rate these films below 4 stars. Jason takes Manhattan is the weakest in the franchise but still a good time.
In this one, Jason hitches a ride aboard a cruise ship filled with the last graduating class from Crystal Lake headed to New York City. The teens decide to hold their prom while en route to NYC. Of course Jason decimates most of them before they reach their destination. 
I wish there were more scenes in NYC but I guess the budget wouldn’t allow it. The ending is ridiculous as Jason reverts back to a child after getting drenched with toxic acid?????!!!!!
All in all I love this series and the ones that come after don’t come close to the magic of the 80’s.

What can I say? This is one of the greatest slasher films of the 80’s. Men in crop tops and short shorts. Yes, this is accurate. I was in my 20’s during this wonderful decade and I did indeed wear them! 😂😂😂
Sleepaway Camp has one of the best killers in slasher history. An excellent twist ending and terrible acting, especially from Desiree Gould who plays Crazy Aunt Martha. Iconic murders and unforgettable dialogue all helps to make this one of the most enjoyable slashers ever made.
Felissa Rose who played Angela has gone on to become a cult icon in Horror Conventions. 
This movie is a must see for any self respecting horror fan!

Sleepy Hollow is a 1999 Horror/Fantasy film directed by Tim Burton. It is based on the 1820 short story written by Washington Irving. 
The film stars Johnny Depp, Christina Ricci, Christopher Walken, Casper Van Dien, and Christopher Lee.
Depp plays police constable Ichabod Crane who comes from New York City to investigate several murders that have plagued the little town of Sleepy Hollow. Witnesses have attributed the deaths to a Headless Horseman.
Depp gives an excellent performance with many humorous scenes. 
Sleepy Hollow has good special effects and is very atmospheric.
This is my favorite Tim Burton movie.

Insidious is a 2010 supernatural horror film directed by James Wan. Starring Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne, Insidious is a very scary modern horror movie.
The Lamberts and their 3 children move into a new house. Pretty soon one of their sons falls into a coma and spirits start haunting the house. Even after moving the spirits follow the family. Eventually they call in a psychic and her ghost hunters.
The acting is very good especially from Lin Shaye as the psychic and Patrick Wilson. 
Insidious is very scary and creepy. James Wan does an excellent job as director.

Released in 1998 and directed by Wes Craven, Screaming 2 is a great sequel.
Sidney Prescott is now in college. When a new ghost face killer starts bumping people off, Sidney is reunited with Dewey and Gale played by David Arquette and Courteney Cox. 
This is almost as good as the first one with the opening sequence being a highlight.

Friday the 13th part 7: The New Blood also known as Carrie VS. Jason by Horror fans was released in 1988 and directed by John Carl Buechler.
Jason is accidentally from his grave on the bottom of Crystal Lake by a young girl named Tina who has telekinetic powers similar to Carrie White. Jason then proceeds to go on his usual killing spree until the third act where he faces off with Tina.
Unfortunately the ridiculous MPAA butchered this film eliminating a lot of the gore. However we did get the famous “Sleeping Bag Kill”. 😁
Still, this is a great entry for fans of the series.

Dracula Has Risen From the Grave is Christopher Lee’s third outing as the undead Count. This is a 1968 Hammer film directed by Freddie Francis 
As usual with Hammer films from this period, the photography and sets are excellent. 
Christopher Lee is probably the most frightening Dracula ever portrayed on screen. With his red blood eyes and fangs, I’m sure he was a frequent guest in many young horror fans nightmares. The ing cast is very good as usual in these Hammer productions.
I have probably seen this movie at least 10 times and it never gets old.

A Quiet Place is a 2018 horror film directed by John Kransinski. From start to finish this movie is full of dread and suspense. Set in a post apocalyptic world where alien creatures taken over. These monsters are blind but have exceptional hearing which they use to catch their prey.
The film follows a family as they try to survive life without making a sound. I don’t know how anyone can stop themselves from snoring or talking in their sleep. And what if you are sick and sneeze, cough or vomit? But if we don’t think too hard about it, this movie is very enjoyable.
The performances by Emily Blunt and Knransinski as the parents are excellent. The child actors are very good too.
Always good to watch a horror movie with some new ideas. Highly recommended.

“IT’S ALL FOR YOU DAMIEN”
The Omen is one of the greatest horror movies from the 70’s. It was directed by Richard Donner and stars Gregory Peck, Lee Remick, and David Warner. 
There are some excellent scary scenes throughout the movie. Especially when Peck is chased by the Hell Hounds and the evil nanny goes after Remick. The child actor who plays the anti-Christ is creepy as hell. Especially when they take him to the zoo and all the animals go berserk at his presence.

JASON LIVES!
This is the one where Jason becomes Zombie Jason. I first thought of Frankenstein when Jason is revived by lightning. 
Thomas Mathews plays Tommy Jarvis who witnesses Jason returning from the dead. We then follow him as he tries to get people believe Jason is back. 
This one is one of my favorites. Thomas Mathews and Jennifer Cooke are very likable in their roles. The body count is high and the gore is good. 
Watch for Tony Goldwyn as one of Jason’s early victims.

Cary Grant. Ingrid Bergman, and Claude Raines. Three fantastic actors from the Golden Age of Hollywood Star in Alfred Hitchcock’s Notorious.
Cary Grant plays a US government agent and Ingrid Bergman is the daughter of a German-American who was a traitor to the US during WW2. Grant needs assistance in taking down some Nazis that were friends of Bergman’s father.  He asks her to help him with his mission and she agrees. While establishing their covers they fall in love. Then Bergman is assigned to seduce one of the Nazis played by Claude Raines.
Notorious is full of suspense and one of Hitchcock’s best films.
Bergman turns in one of her best performances and Grant and Raines are very good too.
A classic every movie lover should see.

Presumed Innocent is a 1990 legal thriller based on the 1987 novel by Scott Turow. Harrison Ford plays a prosecutor who is charged with killing his mistress played by Greta Sacco. They both give very good performances. 
I’m a sucker for legal thrillers and anything with Harrison Ford. 
Definitely worth a look if you are into these types of films.

A  very good adaptation of one of Stephen King’s most terrifying novels. Dale Midkiff stars as Louis Creed who moves into a new home with his family. When the family cat is killed a neighbor played by Fred Gwynne, takes Louis to a Pet Sematary (misspelled by children) and tells him to bury the cat there and tell no one. The next day the cat shows up alive but very different. 
If you haven’t seen this I won’t spoil it for you but needless to say, things don’t work out well for the Creed family. 
When this was originally released the critics panned it of course. But it was a smash with horror fans and has since produced a remake, a sequel, and a prequel. As all horror fans know, NEVER listen to the critics!

I LOVE THIS MOVIE! There I said it. This movie gets a lot of hate and one of the main reasons is because….SPOILER…. Jason is not the killer. That really never bothered me because of everything else it has going for it. 
Despite the fact that you can guess who the killer is a mile away, it’s still a great entry in the series.
It has a high body count with some good kills. Of course the horrible MPAA heavily censored it. 🤬 The characters are fun including Crazy Ethel and her nitwit son, Violet who looks like Debby Harry, Reggie the Reckless and his brother Demon, and final girl, Pam. 
I know a lot of people will disagree with me but that’s what is so great about movies. There’s something for everyone.

One of the best Sci/Fi, Action, Horror films ever made. Arnold is chilling as the nonstop killing machine. Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton are also great as they try to escape being killed by the Terminator. 80’s classic!!

This is the 4th part of the Friday the 13th series. This takes place right after the events of part 3. Jason’s body is brought to the morgue where of course he wakes up and kills a couple of hospital employees. He then proceeds to make his way back to Crystal Lake where a bunch of horny teens have rented a house to party for the weekend. Nearby is another house where a family lives. Also there is a guy who is hunting Jason for killing his sister. All this comes together for one of the best of the Fridays. Tom Savini returns to do the special effects. Featuring some likable actors playing characters with some depth to them. Classic!

Gerald’s Game is a novel by Stephen King that many thought was unfilmable. Leave it to Mike Flanagan to prove them wrong. Not only did he do it, he made one of the best adaptations of a Stephen King novel. 
Carla Gugino is magnificent in this and Bruce Greenwood is very good as always.
The Moonlight Man, the hungry dog, and the situation the heroine finds herself in is really nerve wracking.
I won’t give anything away if you haven’t seen this and know nothing of the plot. One of the best Psychological Horror films out there.

A glorious Nature VS Man film from the 70’s. Leslie Nielsen fights a grizzly bear bare chested! This is a must see for any fan of 70’s B horror movies. Also starring Lynda Day George and her husband Christopher. Loved this as a teenager and still love it 48 years later.

Black Christmas is a horror film from 1974. This is one of the earliest slasher films directed by Bob Clark who would go onto director Porkys!!! Black Christmas stars Olivia Hussey, Margot Kidder and John Saxon. Kidder is delicious as one of the sorority girls who the killer is targeting. Saxon is his usual reliable self and that’s all we need from him.
One of the best horror films from the 70’s. The atmosphere is very creepy.
Black Christmas has all the tropes that would come to define the slasher films of the 80’s.

This is one of the best films of Lucio Fulci. Zombies, gore galore, eye gouging, terrible acting. It’s all here. If you ever wanted to see a zombie fight a shark, you came to the right movie. 
If you love Italian Horror from the 70’s and 80’s this is a must see.

This is the one where Jason gets his famous hockey mask and the opening song is DISCO!!! 🕺🏻!!! So yeah, this gets 5 stars from me! 
Dana Kimmel is so annoying as the final girl. What a step down from Amy Steele. Still, she doesn’t take away my enjoyment from this movie. Love the motorcycle gang! Just a great bunch of characters with 2 pot heads who definitely do not look like teenagers. They actually look like they are in their 30’s. 😂😂 I originally saw this on opening night in 1982. Just like the first two. The gore was great and Richard Brooker was a terrifying Jason.

A Diva’s Christmas Carol is another retelling of the Dickens classic. This is my favorite version as I love Vanessa Williams. 
If you have seen this, then you know the song “Heartquake” could have easily been a top ten dance hit in the 80’s.
This is a Christmas movie that I could watch every year.

Child’s Play is a 1988 supernatural/horror film directed by Tom Holland. It stars Chris Sarandon and Catherine Hicks.
Sarandon plays a police detective on the case of serial killer, Charles Lee Ray. While trying to capture him the soul of the serial killer gets transferred into a Good Guy Doll which just happens to be the “got to have” toy of the moment. 
Hicks plays a single mom who is desperate to get a Good Guy Doll for her son, Andy. Of she purchases the doll that is possessed.
As the doll named Chucky starts murdering people everyone starts to suspect Andy of the crimes. 
Child’s Play was a huge hit which created numerous sequels, remakes, and even a television series.
The first is usually the best and this is no exception.
