This is such a brilliantly written movie. Justine Triet is an amazing writer and so deserving of her Academy Award.
Characters talk in English in front of kids so that they don't understand.
Victoria doesn't turn off the tap after washing her face when she is so anxious.
Victoria needs to talk more with her sexual partner than actually having sex.
Just so, so good.

Laughed a lot throughout but there's nothing substantial or something to ponder about in this movie.
But it's a decent family entertainer with a crisp runtime and never feels boring but is never compelling either.

When you're at your lowest, art comes to the rescue. Music, films, books etc. all provide solace when needed. But art alone can't pull us back from the shadows of grief. It takes a companion. Someone you can talk to. Someone who listens. Someone who cares.
One of the blessings of being human is that we can talk. I wish people appreciated it more.
