I truly, genuinely cannot the last time I came so close to quitting on a movie halfway through. Mikey Madison does her best with this paper-thin dialogue and it’s clear Yura Borisov is very charismatic in the few moments he gets to do anything but look mildly befuddled by everything happening around him, but, unfortunately, with the exception of a surprisingly tender moment near the very end (Touché, motherfucker.), both of their efforts are thoroughly wasted. Completely baffling.
