Four stars is hefty for a comic book flick and I'll it that I have a bias towards Sentry/The Void. It's a guilty pleasure watch for me that's probably closer to three stars for most others. Whatever, I loved it.
Sentry is neat because he has Superman levels of power (and beyond, in some ways), but he's burdened by mental health issues, resulting in The Void taking control.
If you've watched any number of MCU movies, you'll see that every character is battling their own demons. Sentry's just happens to be a universal threat. Most people can resonate with the movie on some level as it deals with the crushing weight of self-worth, loneliness, and depression we all go through.
I know most people dipped out of the MCU stuff after Endgame, but this felt like a decent return to form and that it's building up to something greater. It was nice getting to geek out and to be excited for what is to come next.
