The only thing keeping this film a ten for me is the weird ass continuity issues and lack of time flow. Like the scene where the one freman woman is with pual and the others on the cliff and then in the very next scene she is captured. Everything else is such an improvement from the first it's incredible. Everyone's character is better. Han Zimmerman's score was a little lacking in the first but that's because he was holding back. Aside from the little slip into that damn Elvis voice, Austin Butler was a smarmy bastard as Feyd Rutha. Timothy's turn from the confident but unsure Usul to the menacing and cold Pual Muadib Atredies was excellent. It was so much more than I think we all expected and even though it might be awhile till Dune Messiah, I'll happily wait.
