Film of the year. My original review accurately reflects my feelings towards the film. But after watching on the Vision Pro, I love this one more than Part I. π
I still have to watch The Brutalist, but nothing else this year has come close to its impressive acting and technical categories, all while still being a blockbuster.
Austin Butler's performance as Na-Baron, Feyd Rautha, caught my eye this rewatch. So damn good! Hilarious he has a better gladiator sequence than all of Gladiator II. βοΈ
The scene when they all bow to the Lisan al Gaib, except for Chani and Irulan, breaks my heart.
I am so disappointed in Hollywood for forgetting that this film was released in March. At this point, it would be a miracle if it won Best Picture. However, in 10 years, everyone will look back at 2024 and Dune above all else. πͺ±

Likely, my 200-entry log will be my last for 2024. This was a weak year for movies, and to be honest, theater etiquette has reached an all-time low. Despite its lack of human interaction, watching movies on the Apple Vision Pro has been superior to going to the cinema. Perhaps this is the futureβ¦ α―
