Peter Jackson directed the greatest cinematic trilogy ever and followed it up with this banger, that's an all time great director run

Some all-time scenery chewing by Billy Zane here, they just don't make em like this anymore man

Amazing adaptation of my favourite book, the modern film isn't bad but this is exactly my shit

I've been in a 90s pro wrestling hole for the past little while so I haven't been watching many films, taking a break from that now though to watch some blu rays I've had lying around for a while. I watched this back in the fall for October but didn't mind a rewatch so soon at all, if I had to rank the Conjuring universe stuff this is probably in the top 3

I took my glasses off for a while and just zoned out because this is not a movie and some of the worst shit I've ever seen, watching bad stuff with the homies is one of my favourite things to do but we definitely go too far sometimes lmao

Good lord this was painful, it's kinda hilarious on a certain level but man I just did not have a good time haha

A good finish but spends way too much time being Fanservice: The Movie. Some amazing scenes and a terrific climax but the more I watch this one the more I prefer Infinity War

Felt like rewatching the latter two Avengers flicks, this one is by far the best and one of the high points of the franchise, they're really not getting back to this level.

Waayyyy worse than the first one, at least the original had a sense of scale and some mildly interesting characters. Although, Dolph Lundgren clearly has no idea what's going on and it kinda plays

Silly enough to be a good bit of fun, but also bloated and unfocused. Ron Perlman is a gem as always but we get some pretty awful performances from others, this is just full of tropes and while some of it looks okay a lot of the camerawork is weird and ugly

Still casually rewatching Lynch stuff, I was waiting for a free afternoon to dedicate to this beast. Truly feels like a culmination of a career, there's so much of all the stuff that makes Lynch great and tons of homages to his previous work and other films. One of the craziest trips you can go on, and an absolutely legendary performance by Laura Dern

Borders on incomprehensible, there's flashes of a cool movie here but most of it is just redundant and unnecessary which is a bit of a bummer because Verotika showed real potential. Don't give up, Glen! I know you can do it buddy

Wings Ha rules in this, a pretty good time

Gloriously silly but inspired in its own strange way, had a good time for most of it

A work of true vision and imagination, I've probably seen this 10 times and it blows me away with every viewing

I am a raging anti-capitalist so this appeals to that side of me, first time watching the extended cut and the extra 20 mins really helps. Epic, gorgeous and emotionally resonant

Been playing Strange in that new Marvel Rivals game so I wanted to watch this again, maybe the strongest MCU ing cast

Every year on Nov 6th I'm like "shit, I should have watched V For Vendetta yesterday" but this time I ed, maybe because it's election day and this is exactly the kind of future Trump ers are directly voting for. ACAB, and Nazi Punks Fuck Off.

This is even better than I , Hugo Weaving is just marvelous and I love Stephen Fry as the irreverent TV host as well. It's a pretty solid adaptation and really takes the time needed to get you invested. Almost 20 years old (god i saw this in the theater as a teen) and still looking great

I like how Michael Caine just kinda stumbles through this one, it all just kinda happens to him and some smooth talking and quick thinking gets him through. Loved the portrayal of the insane Texas businessman who hates commies and wants to start WW3 because it's God's will too, stuff that's pretty prevalent today even honestly. Ken Russell's direction is visually nice but it's definitely a weird movie for him, feels a bit disted and overly complicated in a few parts. Great on location stuff though and the final scenes are very tense, a fun watch

If you were gonna make out with a xenomorph would you kiss it on the inner mouth or lock lips with the outer mouth and do tongue stuff with the inside one? Probably the latter for me

Been watching this every Halloween since I was in my Kubrick-obsessed early 20s. The camerawork, the set design, the music, the atmosphere, just sublime.

I re-read the novel a few weeks ago and I'd honestly love to see a new, faithful adaptation, give that shit to Mike Flanagan and let him cook
