Fucking awesome too, George Miller is a man of true vision
]]>One of the best action movies of the century, maybe THE best
]]>Having spent a lot of time there I can almost instantly tell when a movie was shot in Toronto lol
Liked this a lot, very light and fun with nice visuals, great performances and well executed metahumor
]]>What a trip holy shit
]]>Has some fun scenes, I'd like to see an extended cut of FWWM that includes all this
]]>I just finished rewatching the original series so I had to do this too, sadder than I it being
]]>All the oompa loompa songs absolutely slap and the production design rules, I feel like Johnny Depp is hit or miss but he's so weird that I find it interesting regardless
]]>Oppenheimer would have zero regrets if he were alive today to see the new Godzilla movies, that shit is rad thanks Oppy
]]>I finally got a blu ray copy of this, it's great but I yearn for a 4K Firefly trilogy boxset, cmon Arrow/Scream Factory/Vinegar Syndrome/hell you could even make a case for a Criterion
]]>Peter Jackson directed the greatest cinematic trilogy ever and followed it up with this banger, that's an all time great director run
]]>Some all-time scenery chewing by Billy Zane here, they just don't make em like this anymore man
]]>Intriguing at the start but quickly loses steam and becomes repetitive
]]>Amazing adaptation of my favourite book, the modern film isn't bad but this is exactly my shit
]]>I've been in a 90s pro wrestling hole for the past little while so I haven't been watching many films, taking a break from that now though to watch some blu rays I've had lying around for a while. I watched this back in the fall for October but didn't mind a rewatch so soon at all, if I had to rank the Conjuring universe stuff this is probably in the top 3
]]>I took my glasses off for a while and just zoned out because this is not a movie and some of the worst shit I've ever seen, watching bad stuff with the homies is one of my favourite things to do but we definitely go too far sometimes lmao
]]>Good lord this was painful, it's kinda hilarious on a certain level but man I just did not have a good time haha
]]>Really has a bit of everything, and most of it is badass
]]>The greenest movie ever made, loved the blooper reel at the end lol
]]>Cool as hell with amazing special effects
]]>As long as they keep making MonsterVerse movies I'll keep injecting them directly into my veins, goddamn I love this stuff
]]>A good finish but spends way too much time being Fanservice: The Movie. Some amazing scenes and a terrific climax but the more I watch this one the more I prefer Infinity War
]]>Felt like rewatching the latter two Avengers flicks, this one is by far the best and one of the high points of the franchise, they're really not getting back to this level.
]]>Waayyyy worse than the first one, at least the original had a sense of scale and some mildly interesting characters. Although, Dolph Lundgren clearly has no idea what's going on and it kinda plays
]]>Silly enough to be a good bit of fun, but also bloated and unfocused. Ron Perlman is a gem as always but we get some pretty awful performances from others, this is just full of tropes and while some of it looks okay a lot of the camerawork is weird and ugly
]]>Still casually rewatching Lynch stuff, I was waiting for a free afternoon to dedicate to this beast. Truly feels like a culmination of a career, there's so much of all the stuff that makes Lynch great and tons of homages to his previous work and other films. One of the craziest trips you can go on, and an absolutely legendary performance by Laura Dern
]]>Borders on incomprehensible, there's flashes of a cool movie here but most of it is just redundant and unnecessary which is a bit of a bummer because Verotika showed real potential. Don't give up, Glen! I know you can do it buddy
]]>Wings Ha rules in this, a pretty good time
]]>Gloriously silly but inspired in its own strange way, had a good time for most of it
]]>A work of true vision and imagination, I've probably seen this 10 times and it blows me away with every viewing
RIP David Lynch, no one else could have made this
]]>Masterpiece. And I gotta say, I share Frank's enthusiasm for a nice cold PBR
RIP David Lynch
]]>Such a trip, I always enjoy the sonic atmosphere of this movie
RIP David Lynch
]]>Gary Busey is great in this one
]]>One of my favourite Stiller roles, also I feel like Justin Long suffers a lot in many of the movies he stars in so its nice to see him get a win here
That Lance Armstrong cameo aged terribly lmao
]]>Without question one of the coolest movies ever made, Lynch and Cage are such a potent combo
RIP David Lynch, rewatching his films in his honour
]]>Love those whales man
There was a time when I thought an Avatar sequel was kinda unnecessary, man was I dumb. I'll never doubt James Cameron again
]]>I am a raging anti-capitalist so this appeals to that side of me, first time watching the extended cut and the extra 20 mins really helps. Epic, gorgeous and emotionally resonant
]]>Kinda fun but so dumb that it often sabotages itself, this could have been a really cool movie but very little of it works, I like Emmerich but this is pretty weak
]]>Been playing Strange in that new Marvel Rivals game so I wanted to watch this again, maybe the strongest MCU ing cast
]]>Legit one of the coolest fucking movies I've ever seen, a modern action epic
]]>Watched with my cat and he loved the scene with the dead bird
]]>Hell yeah. I've only seen this one before but it rules, gonna check the sequels out today
]]>Super cool all round, loved Laurence Fishburne's character
]]>When he said "Guns. Lots of guns." I was like HELL YEEEEAAAHHHHH
These movies just keep getting more wild and it rules
]]>I vibed with this in such a weird way, it's like a trippy music video half the time and never delivers on anything but I think I was the right type of inebriated for it. Some fun characters and music
]]>Struggling to review this because despite it being one of the dumbest, ugliest movies I've ever seen....I had fun? Some of the most shockingly baffling decisions I've ever seen put to film, I was truly in awe and I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about this shit hours later. Master...piece? Fuck
]]>An incredibly entertaining watch, this was made with so much ion that it's impossible not to love it. Uganda rules
]]>Every year on Nov 6th I'm like "shit, I should have watched V For Vendetta yesterday" but this time I ed, maybe because it's election day and this is exactly the kind of future Trump ers are directly voting for. ACAB, and Nazi Punks Fuck Off.
This is even better than I , Hugo Weaving is just marvelous and I love Stephen Fry as the irreverent TV host as well. It's a pretty solid adaptation and really takes the time needed to get you invested. Almost 20 years old (god i saw this in the theater as a teen) and still looking great
]]>I like how Michael Caine just kinda stumbles through this one, it all just kinda happens to him and some smooth talking and quick thinking gets him through. Loved the portrayal of the insane Texas businessman who hates commies and wants to start WW3 because it's God's will too, stuff that's pretty prevalent today even honestly. Ken Russell's direction is visually nice but it's definitely a weird movie for him, feels a bit disted and overly complicated in a few parts. Great on location stuff though and the final scenes are very tense, a fun watch
]]>If you were gonna make out with a xenomorph would you kiss it on the inner mouth or lock lips with the outer mouth and do tongue stuff with the inside one? Probably the latter for me
]]>Been watching this every Halloween since I was in my Kubrick-obsessed early 20s. The camerawork, the set design, the music, the atmosphere, just sublime.
I re-read the novel a few weeks ago and I'd honestly love to see a new, faithful adaptation, give that shit to Mike Flanagan and let him cook
