After watching Das Boot and realising the masterpiece it is and just how captivating submarine flicks can be, the next obvious choice was to watch Crimson Tide. Despite the unrealistic, high expectation I'd placed on the film and its flaws. The tension, the pacing of the film and the snappy dialogue, coupled with the great acting from the leads and Hans Zimmer's score made this one hell of an entertaining film. Highly recommend. Now to watch The Hunt for Red October.
