]]>I didn’t love the first hour of this, as it plays a lot of goofy comedy, but then it ends with Chow Yun-Fat doing cool shit with a shotgun and two guys having a chainsaw fight, so overall, it rules.

]]>A truly, truly abysmal movie in every way and it has now accomplished the incredible feat of making me think that I was far too hard on Expendables 3, which now looks like The Godfather by comparison.
Also, the budget was $100 million dollars?!?? This has to have been a money laundering scheme right???

]]>Doing just a top 10 wasn’t going to cut it, so I had to do a top 20. Still had to make some painful cuts though.

]]>Insanely hard ranking for one of my favorite directors. Halloween and the thing are like 1A and 1B. I think the The Thing is the better made movie, but I just have a deeper personal connection to Halloween. Also, honestly, everything from Big Trouble to Assault are all very close for me and top tier Carpenter.

]]>I just realized that I’m apparently a big fan of when action stars do their “small town” movie and usually fight with rednecks. Please suggest more movies to add to the list! I’m sure I’m missing a bunch.

]]>My favorite first time watches of the year. Only criteria is they have to be pre-2022 movies. Beyond the top 10, they aren’t really ranked, just listed in order of when I watched them.

]]>So, I could have sworn I had already made this list, but apparently not.
It’s hard ranking my favorite director’s filmography, mostly because I don’t think he’s made a bad movie. I used to be meh on Death Proof, but I’ve come around a bit.

]]>Ranking all the Ridley Scott movies I’ve seen so far, and I was surprised at how many I still need to see. The man is a movie making machine.

]]>An underrated journeyman director
]]>Still have a couple more to see, but this is my current ranking of Raimi’s filmography. Also, with how many movies of his that I love, I really need to start listing him among my favorite directors more often.

]]>Ranking my favorite live action Batman movies. This was actually tougher than I thought it would be.

]]>A franchise that probably should have never been a franchise after T2
]]>A hell of a director who has the unique ability to take what could be trash in the hands of lesser filmmakers and elevate the material to something truly special. I still need to see more of his work outside the U.S.
]]>Simply just a list of movies with cool sounding titles.
Please give me suggestions to add to the list!

]]>This year was weird in a lot of ways and I didn’t see as many 2020 movies as I would have liked (although I apparently saw 48 2020 movies) but these were my favorites.
]]>Since I had the realization I’ll watch any movie with JCVD in it (no matter the quality) I figured I would go through as many of his movies as I could this year. JCVD is definitely my favorite of all the DTV action stars still working. He has more personality than most of them and always at least seems to be enjoying himself. This is where I’ll add all the Van Damme movies watched this year. Plus, the muscles from Brussels is turning the big 6-0 this year, so even more reason to celebrate!

]]>Inspired by the recent lists by Tears_in_rain and
MRisnes I went ahead and tried my hand at one and it was harder than I thought. Some years are a wasteland (looking at you ‘93) and some years, we’re totally spoiled with great horror movies.
