this was cool as hell, the different time periods along with the evolution of the predator was so sick and i think the concept worked really well with the animation
]]>Michael Cera as a bug guy, Cranston + Hanks as the best bball duo since Shaq + Kobe, the most beautiful sets in Hollywood; Wes never lets me down. Now we just need Aubrey Plaza to enter the Wes Anderson Universe ππΌ
]]>Women being extremely badass is literally my favorite genre, especially when that woman is Ana de Armas.
]]>"Don't point that gun at him, he's an unpaid intern."
Wes really said lets cast all of the hottest actors at the peak of their hotness, bravo. I really adore this whimsical, quirky, silly little movie and I'm about 10 seconds away from purchasing one of those silly little red hats.
]]>"How do you do?"
"Not too well. I'm dying."
Wes Anderson knows exactly how to make his movies with the perfect blend of quirk and melancholy, this being the best example of that. The soundtrack is *amazing*, the use of the color yellow in this movie is unrivaled, and Gwyneth Paltrow is my favorite, as always.
]]>"Please turn away. I feel shy about my new muscles."
I'm quite fond of this movie and the unique format of it, this is my first rewatch since its release. I always feel a sense of calm + comfort while watching a Wes Anderson film and that's probably why he's a favorite of mine. I still love the posters created by artist Javi Aznarez, really dig his style. Lastly, Zeffirelli is so iconic, love that guy.
]]>"This is as far as you go. No more. This is it."
Amazing cast, kick-ass action, cool tech, great dog performance. Yeah, this thing absolutely rules.
]]>me every time Paris is onscreen: ugh she's so f*cking cool
]]>We all understand that Sally Hawkins is mother but her mothering goes a bit overboard in this. You know what they say though, a motherβs love knows no bounds π
(attached is my bill for the Philippou bros for the extensive amount of therapy that I now need π)
]]>"STOP LICKING YOUR WOUNDS!"
]]>My appreciation for this movie only went up on rewatch, what an absolute delight. There is an immense amount of detail in every single frame, something that only gets more apparent as we get further along in Wes' career and I will always love him for that. This is genuinely a work of art + so much fun!
if this is trash than i'm a racoon bc i eat this shit up
]]>"The toad works in mysterious ways."
A comedy that fully commits to the bit and then some, Tim Robinson is psychotic (complimentary)
]]>i can overlook a lot of a movie's issues when Milla Jovovich is literally being the coolest person ever and kicking zombie dogs in the face
]]>"Hey, I rented The Lost Boys again if you wanna come over tonight and watch it."
More beautiful words have never been spoken.
]]>I am very fond of that misunderstood blue menace
]]>Guy Ritchie makes fun movies in every genre and I love him for that. I am an absolute sucker for a globetrotting treasure hunt and although this doesn't reach the levels that National Treasure does, it's still a blast and if that's not enough for you, Eiza GonzΓ‘lez kicks major ass in it.
]]>not as great as some of its predecessors but Tom Cruise hangs out of a moving plane and isn't that why we go to the movies?
]]>"Stitch is troubled. He needs desserts!"
I've literally never related to a character more in my life
]]>Every time I watch these movies I have to pause them to go to youtube to watch the behind the scenes because I literally cannot fathom the fact that Tom Cruise is doing this shit for real, what a guy. Also, starting this movie with the insane airplane stunt is an unbelievable flex.
]]>the costume designer cooked with Leia's Hoth fit and Luke's Dagobah fit, both are simple but so iconic + fly
]]>the burj khalifa sequence is straight up cinematic crack
]]>one of, if not the most influential movies of the last 50 years. 70s cinema was truly on a different wave entirely. i feel like every single scene is iconic in its own right, especially when Harrison Ford is on-screen.
]]>"Save the rebellion! Save the dream!"
After finishing Andor, it was a must to revisit Rogue One and let me start this review by saying that Andor is quite possibly the best piece of Star Wars media to date. From its adult themes to the incredibly well written characters + screenplay, it just baffles me how good it really is. I also appreciate when a series or movie respects its audience above all else which is pretty rare these days especially in a major franchise. Andor made this movie even better because we saw all the sacrifices and constant struggle of the characters, making that ending hit even harder.
Visually speaking, best in the franchise. The shot of the death star emerging on the horizon is genuinely breathtaking. The other reason why I love this movie is the tone of it. It really is a war film set in the Star Wars universe and Andor confirmed that and went a step (or many steps) further. I did have this above Empire Strikes Back and A New Hope but I knocked it down after this viewing, still love it though don't get me wrong. Maybe it's just that Andor is too good that it made this feel like a step down which is wild to say. It would've been great to see Bix or Kleya in this, they rule and I miss them already. Ugh I could keep talking about this but I'll leave it at that, Thank you Tony Gilroy.
]]>my audience clapped when Tony Todd showed up and that is exactly why the horror community is the best. also the MRI machine scene was fucking bonkers π
]]>whenever Tony Todd shows up in these movies, they go to another level. rest in power legend.
]]>watched for the plot.
the plot: the weeknd's music + jenna ortega
thrilled to see the killer klowns from outer space are still getting work
]]>literally every single character in these movies is so ridiculously bad at their jobs it's absurd. except death, death is pretty good at their job β°
]]>"Hey, if you ever have to come to my funeral⦠bring me a PSP or somethin. Least I have somethin to do then."
]]>Finally a character to care about!! Mary Elizabeth Winstead is the first real human being in this franchise and she made this one special. The tanning bed scene is so iconic, I knew there was a reason why I never wanted to use one growing up (also the terrible effects they cause). Oh and fuck Frankie Cheeks, all my homies hate that creep.
this is the most fucked up episode of That's So Raven
]]>"He killed people, mom."
"We all have our bad days."
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms (and Matthew Lillard)
]]>would it be fucked up if i watched this on my next flight?
]]>hokas, line dancing, costco chair talk? this couldnβt be more of a dad movie if it tried and iβm here for it.
]]>son of a bitch you did it, you made ing look badass
]]>accurate to the game because i got so many of the characters killed π
]]>"Yelena, you look awful."
saying that to Florence Pugh is insane
]]>Watched on Sunday May 4, 2025.

]]>It's comforting to know that these cardinals are just well-dressed drama queens, we would get along. After watching this movie, I am now an expert in what it takes to be pope and will be submitting my name in next week's conclave.
"I wouldn't kill anyone other than myself."
I LOVED this. The blood juice pouches, the music, the depression, the BANGS! Instantly iconic in so many ways, I feel seen. Alternative title for me would be Emotionally Damaged Introvert Looking to be Vampire Food
]]>If I have to become a vampire to get involved in an Irish jig I am more than down, that scene fucking rules. #FellowshipAndLove
]]>I paused to count how many baguettes Tom Wilkinson had, it was 18. The man was carrying eighteen baguettes.
]]>no thoughts just vibes (and the Phoebe Cates scene)
]]>bro straight up lives in crime city π
]]>"Train yourself to let go⦠of everything you fear to lose."
]]>I can't put into words how beautiful it was to see this in theaters again. Genuinely made me feel like the 10 year old me that saw this all those years ago, my inner child is glowing.
Old school filmmaking with a new school feel, I'm a sucker for a unique adventure film. Ochi is like a cross between Gizmo and Baby Yoda, I love cute lil guy cinema.
]]>"I'm sorry I didn't tell you about the world."
a proper mommy's boy classic
]]>"It's not destroying. It's making something new."
This felt like an appropriate watch for Earth Day. This is the type of movie that has you asking yourself (and the internet) a lot of questions. Alex Garland is so good at creating horrific scenes that make you wiggle around in your seat, say what you want about him but he has made some of the most jarring sequences out there. This film is so gnarly with so much to look at and contemplate over, the major theme of self-destruction is easy for anybody to resonate with. Also, that bear scene kicks so much ass.
]]>the person responsible for giving Mrs. Incredible a dumpy deserves an Oscar
]]>"Do I love you?"
a question i ask myself whenever i see maika monroe
]]>Original movies are still being made and they should be loved and ed by all of us, this movie rules.
]]>I will always and forever LOVE animated films. They were a huge part of my childhood and continue to be a major influence on my life, simple as that. They are always so nice to look at but the stories they tell are also so captivating most of the time. Animators are able to be completely creative and have fun creating beautiful worlds and characters. They make us smile, they make us cry, they keep our imagination and mind colorful and fun. They help us never stop being a kid. π

]]>Thereβs nothing better than curling up to watch a horror film and I do find it odd that so many of us associate horror with comfort watches. The people that adore the horror genre are a bit sick + twisted but we are a great time. The sub genres of horror are endless whether you want silly, horrific, jumpy, campy, psychological, haunted, or truly bone-chilling, this genre has it all. ]]>I love Guy Ritchie's film style, dark humor, high energy and editing. Ritchie's films might not be everybody's cup of tea but you have to respect the fact that he sticks to his style regardless of the type of movie that he's making. ]]>One of the greatest franchises of all time! Star Wars has always been a big part of my life especially when I was growing up. I continue to enjoy all the content that we get, although some may be pretty stinky, most of the time itβs a good time.
Mandalorian isnβt on Letterboxd but seasons 1 & 2 were incredible however season 3 was not great, that series would sit around the 7 spot in this list. I haven't watched Ahsoka yet.

]]>I am not the biggest fan of superhero movies and never really have been. There are some exceptions to this as I have always loved Raimi's Spider-Man and growing up I did like Iron Man and The Dark Knight trilogy. I prefer the more human approach to the genre rather than the MCU take, I never fully got into that. I will try to get through the MCU one day but it's not something I have on my radar anytime soon. That being said, here is my list for superhero movies, ranked!
