Man what a movie. Incredible set design, amazing costuming, masterful editing. Totally worthy of its Oscar nominations and wins. The way Scorsese captures the fractured psyche of Howard Hughes was so brilliant and intentional. So believable. The constant returns to his childhood moment of abuse. Brutal. This character is heartbreakingly inspiring. I see parts of myself in him. Thankfully only the good parts this time.

Oof this was poorly written. Main character is so insanely unlikable and none of the beats line up organically. Plot holes all over the place that are VERY fixable. The cheesiest dialogue. The writer seems to have just sat in a room and asked Chat GPT to write a sad rom com. Which is surprising considering this included talent responsible for Definitely, Maybe, Wimbledon and French Kiss.
