I love to criticize but I also love to adore

Heavy on fulfilling character development & definition. and heavy on a memorable, glistening soundtrack. Lightweight when it came to lore… ? Surprising given the fact this is a historical piece featuring one of the most lore-laden creatures to ever exist. I loved the action but I think there was plenty of room for richer, deeper conversation. As it stands, the dialogue either 1. contributed beautifully to the notable & aforementioned characters or 2. seemed to awkwardly stand in the way of some…
David lynch so it’s unlike anything else. We’re so starved for originality these days I’m starting to value that above any other component.
I someone expressing the sentiment that David lynch seems to understand & appreciate women’s suffering in a depth far beyond other directors and I agree.
Star deducted bc it was wayyy too long & the camera quality was a shade too shitty for me lol
As good as a 3 hr movie with such a mind-boggling slew of white men can possibly be. The audio and visuals of the explosion were disappointing to me, but the final act and especially the final scene really solidified this movie’s greatness. Both cillian murphy and florence pugh turn me into a rabid creature of sorts.
