McQuarrie marries style to the set-pieces in a way that is just beautiful. The history of film is alive in Rogue Nation, and it makes it all the better.

Sean Harris’ Solomon Lane is long due perfection as the shadowy foil to Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt.

When ‘A Town with an Ocean View’ kicks in, I’m convinced that it’s the greatest picture ever made.
