Every time I watch a John Carpenter movie I always find myself saying “Hell yeah, brother” at the end and In the Mouth of Madness was no different. Got to see this in IMAX and see Jamie Lee Curtis, Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and Finn Wolfhard all in one room for intro and Q&A - best screening surprise I’ve had yet.

A wholly and wildly unique story with so much heart and comion I’d be hard pressed to believe anyone who said they didn’t resonate with the themes of family, self-love, and acceptance. Beautifully crafted the whole way around, and Ke Huy Quan nails his return to acting.

The script is rough at points, but Josh Hartnett is having a good time and the fight choreography was fun to watch. Some really good understated jokes too, much funnier when they’re not going too over the top

Every one of the main characters in this felt like someone I would see at a GameStop midnight release event for Gears of War or something, incredible work
