wanted to rewatch this for spring and it still hits. easily one of disney's best animated movies.

i don't know what i was expecting but it wasn't that. one thing i can appreciate though is the cinematography. every shot, especially the ones in color, were dreamlike and vibrant. one thing i will always be a sucker for is a visually stunning movie. that, in my opinion, is what truly saved this movie.

surprisingly didn't hate it. i thought with how bad of a reputation this movie garnered i would've hated it but i was pleasantly surprised. not a masterpiece by any means but it was fun and the cinematography was amazing.

this was so lovely!! not only was it nice to know part of the backstory but also so fun to watch. so many good songs! can't wait for part 2. hopefully will be able to see it in theaters. also would love to read the books/watch the play too.

i watched the movie the first time at seventeen and didn’t really like it and decided to rewatch at twenty two to see how I feel about it and I really liked it this time around! there’s a lot of symbolism that went over my head initially that I understand now. it also helps that i’ve read part of the book too as it goes more in-depth than the movie.
