I will differ from popular opinion on this one and say that this, more-so than any other Cartoon Saloon film is the one made most for children.
I say that because it presents a very facile version of life in Afghanistan in the early 21st century, but I think that it does its job well in of forcing Western children to acknowledge that PEOPLE live there. It unfortunately does not do much more beyond that.

Edited like a robot chicken episode, studded with an absolutely unnecessary, useless, and badly cast ensemble of like 50 A and B list stars with three or fewer lines (guess they had some leftover money from their 100 million dollar budget) and completely undecided in its bias towards nuclear war with the most tactless ending of all time that essentially amounts to βda wowld is witerawwy endingβ¦ da fuqqqqβ
That being said, Cillian Murphyβs performance was great, and it delved deeper into the political aftermath of the bomb more than I anticipated which was nice because Learned some stuff that I didnβt already know. I also like that this was treated more like a drama than a thriller or action movie given the sensitive subject matter. I likes it a lot more than I thought I would.
