Such an unsettling mediation on evil and how it breeds and manifests in broad daylight and forgotten spaces. The suburban Australian gothic tone is immaculate, Daniel Henshall’s performance incredible. The script puts so much trust in the viewer. Never feels exploitative, which lots of true crime tends to be. Almost vague in that sense: not interested in the detail of the crimes or the people who committed them so much as the circumstances & environment that allow such horrors to come alive. Monumental film!
