Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning

2025

★★★★½ Rewatched

Overtly maximalist and teetering on the edge of being comical… and somehow it all works for me? I dunno, this realistically shouldn’t be rated as high as this, but I think I love this franchise too much to care how insane this movie gets. I know everyone is mentioning the submarine and biplane sequence, but there’s two fight scenes that intercut with each other around the midpoint of the film that I adore just as much.

Sinners

2025

★★★★ Watched

I’ve been letting this marinate a bit since last night, and honestly has maybe even grown on me just a tad. Combines so many different genres and reaches corners in storytelling that I’ve rarely ever seen before. I’m not the biggest fan of the final act or so, but overall had a blast, it’s hard to complain.

Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith

Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones

2002

★★★ Rewatched

Pé Amidala is top 5 finest females in all of cinema, i’m locked tf in though

Nosferatu

2024

★★★½ 16

What a way to kick off the year! Huge fan of everything Eggers’ has done so far (haven’t see The VVitch yet), his visceral, historic but masterfully helmed approach to film-making is something that will definitely cement him into one of the greats if he continues.

Nosferatu takes him down that path a step further. While it is my least favourite of his so far, this is Eggers just completely taking over and being Eggers. With a story for the…
